  1. Tried to bid 96 dollars and won from the first time! Very good deal, if I look to the rateson other websites.
  2. After seeing someone else won this hotel for 66 dollars around the same time, I tried to bid 59 dollars. Bid was rejected, but my rebid of 63 dollars gave me this price. Good deal, happy with it!
  3. Hi, i also won this hotel for $40 (with a $10 coupon code). In Orlando, most of the hotels (even the big ones like Hilton) charge a "resort fee". We are traveling with a car, so we are happy we have parking and wifi for the $10 fee. On tripadvisor the ratings are better (4/5), also on booking.com (8/10). So, I expect it will not be as bad as you say. Look forward to your review ;)
  4. After some research and some help of you, we would say we would prefer next zones: Miami Beach South Beach - Collins Avenue Oceanfront South Beach - Ocean Drive With a minimum of 3,5 stars, max 111 USD. Coral Gables - Coconut Grove With a minimum of 4 stars, max 76 USD. Are our maximum biddings realistic? We still have some time, so probably, I will change our maximums when I see other winning bids.
  5. Ok, so we Ill try to bid for the 3 zones you say. Which prices are reasonable to bid for (min 3,5 stars)? When is best time to bid?
  6. I just clicked the 2 links you said and will use the hotwire/PRICELINE links for my next searches
  7. Hi, Me and my girlfriend will be in Miami by car for 2 nights (9/30 - 10/02). We've never been in Miami, so we dont't know which area to choose. We would like to stay nearby the beach. We also need to park our rental car. When I am looking at Priceline I would say: Miami Beach, South Beach and Miami north beach will be good locations. Buy which ones do you recommend? What would be a good price strategy? We don't know how much we need to bid (min 3,5 stars). Thanks in advance ;)
  8. Hi, Till now all my biddings were rejected. We change our bidding maximum to 106 dollars for a 4 star hotel and 101 dollars for a 3,5 stars hotel. We already booked a property with the option to cancel. Lets's hope we can book trough PRICELINE :D We will keep you guys updated. Do you think a 3,5 stars hotel will be possible for USD 100? Thanks in advance ;)
  9. It's a seperate booking on Priceline to extend our previous priceline booking with one night. Happy with this rate so early ;)
  10. Thanks for your bidding advice. however, if I look to the current winning biddings, there are a lot under usd 100. Or do I see this wrong? Of course this is not for the period of september yet, but dont't you think there is a chance later?
  11. Hi, we want to book a hotel in Washington DC for 3 nights (09/22 - 09/25). We would like a 4 star hotel for a maximum of $ 100. This in one of the next zones: - Dupont Circle - Woodley Park - White House - Downtown - Georgetown - Foggy Bottom Do you guys think this will be possible? When do you think it will be? (Now, later, ... ). Thanks in advance
  12. Oh, so it doesn't mean that if there is no hotel in the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals, that there isn't one in the name your price section? I thought it were the same hotels  Of course name your own price is cheaper...
  13. Together with a $10 cash bonus, I won the hotel for 40 USD. Maybe, I made my bid too soon, but we're pleased with the hotel we got. We think it is a good deal on a good location  Room Subtotal: $120.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $28.56 (USD) Total Charged to Card: $148.56 (USD)
  14. Hi, I have a question about the Priceline big deal guarentee. Yesterday I booked a hotel in Ghent for 60 USD per night. This is indeed the cheapest rate I can find, as the cheapest rate on internet is 63 dollars. However, I am wondering what happened if I had bid 70 USD? Did they also gave the same hotel or had they rejected my bid as it was cheaper on other sites?
  15. Hoped for the Marriot hotel, which is why I started with a bid of 60 $. Bid was accepted for the Holiday Inn Gent Expo. Not such a good deal, because price is 3 dollars more expensive on booking.com. Room Subtotal: $60.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $11.88 (USD) Total Charged to Card: $71.88 (USD) (All prices are in US dollars)
  16. Hi, Thanks for your answer. I understand now how rebidding works and I want to thank you for your scheme. Can I do this all after each other on one day (for more days)? When do you think the best time is to "win"?
  17. Hi, I made a printscreen, so you can see which areas we would prefer. CPS Chelease ESB HK MSG MTE MTW QB TS UES UWS
  18. Hi, Till today I never heard about Priceline and/or Hotwire. I read a lot today and we are pretty sure to use Priceline. We (2 persons) want to go to New York City in September (09/16 till 09/21). We would like a hotel (minimum 2,5 stars) in the center of New York and we have a budget of 850 dollars (with taxes included!). Do you guys think it is possible? If yes, when is best to start bidding? And how much would you bid per day? Thanks in advance
