Bid $45 after seeing the same hotel at $98 in Priceline's direct search. Bid got rejected but I was invited to rebid at minimum $58. I did and won. I believe same property on Express goes for $64, so a few dollars were saved via bidding. Thanks BetterBidding! And yes, I did remember to use the the Priceline link off the BB site.

Said PRICELINE EXPRESS deal is for 6/27/2015 and is still available. We ended up calling a B&B and reserving a room instead of using PRICELINE this time around.
Regardless, I thank you very much for your help and responsiveness.
I am unable to locate my Fort Myers winning bid from 2011. PRICELINE itinerary only goes so far back. Sorry.

Gan
Thanks, Mr. Admin. The rates and amenities I am seeing are on PRICELINE EXPRESS @ $113/night.

Closing the loop on a very old thread here. IIRC, we bid and re-bid but were not able to get a resort in our price range. Ended up bidding and getting a HI-Express in Fort Myers instead.

Started at $60, was rejected but got prompted by PL to raise to $74 and win.
Declined offer and added area and rebid at $63. Rejected again.
Added another area and rebid at $68. Accepted!
Thanks for great PL/HW hotel lists and useful forum posts. Yes, I did remember to use linky-dinky from BB to go to Price.Line. :)
Tried incremental bidding in steps of $5 while adding areas with sub 4* properties. Finally landed Hyatt Boston at $140 + taxes & fees. Narrowly better than Hotwire's $149 deal for same area and star rating. Thank you BB. And yes, I did use the PRICELINE link. :)

Initially bid $52 and was rejected. Added ORD South and upped the bid to $55 and was expected. Thank you BetterBidding.

Thank you BetterBidding.com. I too was able to reserve Hilton St. Louis Downtown for $45 ($59.63 including tax & fees) using your tips and recent postings. Parking at $19/day is a bit a bear though - oh well!
I did remember to follow the PRICELINE link on BetterBidding.com!

Hi,
Plan to be in the Naples/Ft. Myers area from 12/27 through 12/30. Would like to stay in a resort in Bonita Springs/Marco Island if at all possible. Can you please share advice on bidding strategy and reasonable bids for Priceline? I tried $130 but to no avail (I realize this is peak season so this maybe too low). Any advise or experience shared will be much appreciated.
Thank you.
