Regarding the HOTWIRE quote, if it is the Regency, I see that compared with hotels.com, we save $29/night with the Hotwire rate. For PRICELINE, depending on the Hotel, I guess we'd do $300 a night. Any ideas on what hotel I might get through Priceline? Is there anyway to know this?

Oh wait, not thinking & forgot I cant name the property on PRICELINE. Duh. Ok, well, I guess my question is ; if we wanted to use PRICELINE & were interested in the area the Regency is in, what would be a good bid amount for a 5 star?

Hello, I'm looking for a five star hotel in Florence Italy from for my husband & I for May 14-17. When I look on Hotwire, it shows 2 hotels. One is in Florence East - Bagno a Ripoli area hotel for $169. per night ($469 at other sites) The other is in Old Town area - Duomo - Ponte Vecchio area hotel. The price on this is $283 - also $469 on other sites. Ive used Hotwire a lot & Priceline occasionally, but never for International travel. I have no idea about either of these areas, and cant seem to find enough info to let me know which hotel choice or area might be best.
