  1. Amenities: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s) All amenities: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Accessible Path of Travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower I was a little nervous because it seemed that nobody had confirmed this hotel yet, and I needed to get this exact one (a friend had already booked there). I crossed my fingers and pushed the button, and I'm happy it was correct! Thanks, betterbidding! (and yes, I used the link!). Woohoo!
  2. Amenities:Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities The hotel was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good (eggs, bacon, biscuits, cereal, bagels, etc.). They also had a "happy hour" every day from 5-7, with free beer & wine and small nibbles (popcorn, chips&salsa, veggies&dip, etc.). The room contained a small fridge (dorm size, not one of the super-tiny ones) and a microwave, and it also had an iron & ironing board and small coffee maker. The pool and hottub were okay, though there was no shade available (no umbrellas or awnings). Parking (under the hotel) was fine, and free. Loved the location - just between downtown Ventura and the beach, within walking distance of both. The only downside to the location is that there are active (hourly?) train tracks just behind the hotel. The rooms have internet, but not wireless. The internet connection at the public computer in the lobby was frustratingly slow. (We didn't try the room internet because we forgot the cable).
  3. Sorry it took me a long time to reply.... I actually liked this hotel. The room was tiny, but I've come to expect that in NYC. :) But it had lots of little features that I liked - the bed was super low to the floor, the bedding was more european in style (duvet instead of nasty blanket and bedspread), and the pillows were awesome (feather!). And there was a hair dryer - what luxury! And the A/C worked, and the room was quiet. My only complaint is that the exercise/workout room is way too small - not enough equipment to go around. But I'd definitely stay there again. I believe that they are planning to renovate soon (at least the lobby, don't know about the rooms themselves).
  4. Amenities are Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness Center. *Somebody* needed to try the 3-star, may as well be me. :-)
  5. Just a followup... When my sister & mom checked in, my mom got an okay room (non-smoking), but my sister was given a room in a different building (they said there was nothing closer to my mom's room), and that room reeked of smoke. She requested a new room, but the hotel said that their hotwire contract did not require them to provide a non-smoking room. She then politely asked if they planned to pay her hospital bill when she had an asthma attack (a little creative!), and they somehow found another room just a few doors down from my mom's room. I guess it turned out okay, but this was my first negative experience with a hotwire purchase.
  6. The amenities listed for this hotel were kitchenette & laundry. It's on 158th, between Walker and Jenkins. Total cost was $188 for two rooms for three nights each. Putting some family members up for my wedding. :-)
  7. Tried to get a 3* in Ashland for $35, but was not accepted. Then tried for a 3* in Medford or Ashland for $40, and got this. Now let's just hope the play is good!
