Was trying to bid for hotels in Berkeley-Emeryville area but they were beyond our budget of $100 and was rejected. Added Richmond-Pinole area at $100, still rejected. Finally added Oakland-Alameda and up bid to $105 - this bid was accepted. Have not stayed in this area before but even TripAdvisor reviews are good. Other sites rates were at $156/night.

Happy with this WIN, as we have stayed at this hotel before and really enjoyed it. Checking on other websites - best price was $159 for the dates. Started BID at $100 for Mountainview, and added surrounding areas as Sunnyvale, Milpitas, and rejected each time. Finally added Palo Alto and increased bid to $105. Took a while but got the WIN !!

At $62 per night, am happy with the deal incl Breakfast, Free Wi-Fi and great location.

I was for 3 adults, that's why I could no use PRICELINE. Ended up on HOTWIRE for the 3* 75% approved property in ONT East as it was the cheapest. I's the La Quinta Inn, not what we wanted but it's decent.

After 2nd bidding, we got this hotel for $130 + $23(taxes and fees) for 2 nights. i.e $65/night
