  1. Just like before, started bidding at $60 and got a hit at $65!!!
  2. Whenever you get a rebid increase screen and you have rebid availability. You should never go with the amount they give you. I always go up by $1 per bid and usually get it by the time I reach half of the difference. Save a little more which could go a long way in NOLA for a few drinks!!
  3. We always decline that and we usually get it by the time we reach half of what they are asking us to increase. I always consider how many rebids I have left and let it be my guide. I typically go up $1 or $2 each time (depending how many rebids I have).
  4. I needed a room for 07/1/12 and saw that median retail price for a 3 star hotel was $104 for the time that I was interested in so started my initial bid at $55 and was rejected. Bumped to $60 and got the Queensbury Hotel with no problem. I stayed there once before, but that was prior to learning the ways of priceline. They have just renovated the hotel and it looks awesome.
  5. I tried a few weeks before and came up with nothing on each bid. I decided to start off with low expectation and bid South Kingstown with a 3 star attempt at $55. When I got nothing I increased to $57 in Middletown and got nothing. I gave it one final shot at $60 and added Goat Island and success!! Total price with taxes and fees is $75.62 for a website listed hotel that normally goes for $199.
