  1. Hello, Since I have plenty of time I'd thought I'd get ask for help on this one. There isn't much bidding history for Lafayette, IN. I am highly interested in the Baymont Inn in Lafayette, (but of course you get what they give ya.) I have no price limits and it's for a 2 nite stay on 12-31-05 for 1 or maybe 2 rooms (if my parents decide to come.) It definitely has to be a 2 star. [3 star would be optimum, but I didn't see any there...] Any ideas/suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks
  2. Hello Moderator. Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section. I just stayed 7 nites @ Vacation Village in Orlando (Disney World-Kissimmee area in Priceline) for $229 thru a RCI offer @travelzoo.com. It was an awesome hotel/deal!!!Well I just went to Priceline to see if they offer this hotel, and they do but it has no star rating next to it. For instance if you click on "Disney World - Kissimmee" hotels, then select "Hotel Name" tab, then select "U-V" range, you'll see the Vacation Village at Parkway under WorldHotels. There is no star rating associated with the hotel. Now if you click each star rating for this area to confirm this you'll find that it's not there. What's going on here? Would this be a hotel that could be gotten on a bid? Thx this is just for info sake just in case I come across this again in the future.
  3. Moderator, You are oh so right; I should have consulted with you first. I just got back from this suite and I was sorely disappointed. First of all, my family of 3 were in a room with only 1 queen sized bed. I went to the front desk to request a pullout or cot and he said they were all rented out, but that I could upgrade to a 2 double bed room for $15 more. {No thank you as I only bid $30 for the room} Needless to say, we were snug as a bug. Secondly, when we got there we waited at least 20 minutes till somebody showed up at the front desk. Lastly, the room was the dirtiest room we had ever stayed in. {Caveat...it wasn't filthy just dirty by our standards} There were cobwebs in the corners, somebody's pajamas in the dresser, mirrors were smeared, and carpet had stains all over it. We walked/showered in our clogs the whole time. It's sad that you have to request 3* or above to get a clean room. That should be a standard in every single hotel. Thanks for all your help
  4. I just returned from my trip. The hotel was just that a 2 star. When I checked into my room, it smelled very musty and slightly moldy. I went to the front desk and requested a different room and they gave me a new one. This one also had a musty smell but not as strong. It either was the air conditioner or (as I later found out) some lingering smells from a pet. I had no idea that some hotels allow pets. During my one night I saw 3 different dogs with their owners. Kind of strange. Definitely worth the breakfast though. I must say besides the smell, the room was everything I hoped it to be. Granted it could be a little more updated.
  5. This is my second time using Priceline. I tried several 3* attempts @ Dwtn Nashville @ $42, but to no avail. I then tried airport with 3 * for $40, but no luck. So then closed out browser, and tried $30 for 1* in Nashville (Franklin area). [i was hoping for the Baymont Inn which has a breakfast...]I succeeded with $30 and they upgraded me to a 2* @ Homestead Studio Suites in Cool Springs/Franklin. {This has no breakfast, though, from what I can see.} Still a pretty good deal, though. Thanks for all your guidance. Total price was $41.54.
  6. This was my first time ever using Priceline after gathering info from this site. Thx so much. Here's the scoop. I first bid $25 for 2* in Norcross area, but got denied but with a rebid of $30 for 2* including Roswell area landed me the Baymont Inn for one night on 9-16. I'm basically paying for the nice breakfast for my family and getting a free room with the deal. The total with fees was $41.10. Thanks so much!
