I'm a new member, so I never have posted my past purchases. But anyway, I purchased a 2* in Mission Valley-Hotel Ciricle with the same two ammenities (breakfast, laundry) this past July, and it turned out to be the Super Eight Motel at 445 Hotel Ciricle. I paid $69/night, and was not too pleased, particulalry because the property had a refundable rate of $75/night at the time of my purchase. I expected something better than a Super Eight for a 2* on Hotwire. Hope that helps. As a said, be sure to check its refundable rates.

After further searching, I'm afraid its the Best Western Victorian Inn. http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/pr...pertyCode=05370 Seems to fit all the ammenities, including boutique. I wouldn't be surprised for Hotwire to call it a 3*. It does have a continental breakfast which is not listed as a Hotwire ammenity, but its omission might be for masking purposes. Furthermore, unlike most 3* hotels in the area, it does not have a pool (and such an ammenity is missing from Hotwire's description). I'm not going to purchase it, so take this prediction for whatever its worth.

That was the one hotel (the Marriott) I thought was the best match, but looking at photos and descriptions of the hotel (particularly its size), I didn't think that it could be called a boutique. Also, it lowest published rate is $199 for the night I was looking at, making me think that may be just a little too high for a $66 on Hotwire.

There's a 3* in Monterey - Carmel (Monterey), with ammenities Boutique Hotel, Near Beach, Spa Services, and High-Speed Internet Access. I've sifted through tons of hotels, and can't find any that seem to fit these ammenities. The rate I found was $66 for Oct 10, if that's of any help.
