7. Hi, thanks for your help, you're right--I needed to take the extra step of "buy now" to see the full amenities. In any case, this does look like a match for the Hyatt Regency. I'll probably sleep on this, book tomorrow, and post the results here. Thanks for your help!
8. I have updated the information on the previous thread, and I can confirm that those are the amenities listed for this property.
9. Hi, I edited the earlier post from New Haven to reflect what I went with. If you have any thoughts on this current thread, I'd very much appreciate it.

11. Hi everyone, I used the links here to search Hotwire for an upcoming trip to Chicago from 7/17-7/19. I found a hotel listed for $113 a night in the downtown/Millennium/Grant Park area. The amenities include the following: Smoke Free Rooms Guest Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Spa Services Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility While this isn't a perfect match for the Hyatt Regency, that's the only 4* hotel listed in this area that includes a spa. Any thoughts are appreciated.
12. OK, I committed today, got the Hard Rock Hotel! Really stoked about this! Thanks for the tips!
13. Thanks so much for the help! I'm going to sleep on this, maybe make a decision on it by the end of the week. I'll let you know what I decide. Thanks again!
14. Hey everybody, I'll be going to Chicago to do some research in February, and I was hoping to get some help IDing this 4* hotel in the loop/theater district with the following amenities: Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower. Recommended by 90% of users. $90/night. The dates I will be staying are 2/23-2/28. My guess was either the Hard Rock or the Palmer House Hilton. Thanks for your help!
15. Still trying to find a place in New Haven in the downtown area (tried Priceline for two days, couldn't get any deal for under $100). 2 1/2* in New Haven - West Haven Hotwire has a 2 1/2* hotel listed for 6/26-6/27 featuring the following amenities: Free Parking <amenity names only please... not descriptions> Complimentary Breakfast <amenity names only please... not descriptions> Free Internet <amenity names only please... not descriptions> Indoor pool(s) <amenity names only please... not descriptions> Smoke Free Rooms Guest rooms at this hotel are always smoke-free. Business Center Guests have access to business equipment and services; an additional charge may apply. Laundry Facilities (self-service) <amenity names only please... not descriptions> High-Speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply. Tennis Nearby Property is located within walking distance or a short drive of at least one tennis court; an extra charge typically applies. Wheelchair accessible Wheelchair accessible common areas The Hotwire CT guide lists La Quinta Inn as the only 2 1/2* hotel. But, if that's the case, I can get that hotel cheaper through Priceline. Any thoughts on if this is La Quinta? (I'm trying to get something closer to downtown.)
16. Hi everyone, I'm trying to find a hotel around ~$100/night near Yale, and Hotwire has a 3* listed with the following amenities: Free Parking, Complimentary Breakfast, Suite, Smoke Free Rooms, Pool(s) Only 60% of Hotwire customers recommend it, but it would only be for 1 night. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
17. I booked this morning, and it was indeed the Millennium Gloucester. I am very pleased with this! The hotel is in a great location, and the price fits my budget. It has great reviews as well! Thanks for your help!
18. The amenities aren't overwhelming, but they're good enough I suppose: "4-star Hotel in Kensington - Earls Court This Hotel features the following amenities: Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply. Restaurant(s) Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary. Laundry Facilities (self-service) <amenity names only please... not descriptions> High-Speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply." It has a 90% recommendation from other Hotwire users (or so it says!).
19. Quick update: I played around with some low-bids (below $200) for a 5* in Soho, the city, and a few surrounding zones--no luck. I did check Hotwire for a 4* in the Kensington-Earl's Court area and found one going for $162, which is the perfect price. The slashed out price is $221, and looking at hotels.com I see the Best Western in the area is $221. I would be very pleased if I got that hotel for $162 (the location is great). I guess I'll sleep on it, but do you think the odds are pretty good that the hotel on hotwire is the Best Western?
20. I would be willing to pay a little more for a 5*--and $220 a night doesn't seem like much more, but I am trying to keep it $200 or under. I suppose there are other factors to consider as well (Internet, breakfast--if those were included in a 5* but not a 4, then I think I can go slightly more). So I guess the "all-in" price could be slightly more if the area/hotel is worth it, but ideally I'd like something under $200. Should I try bidding at the +/- $200 range for the Soho area, or are there other--possibly more affordable--nearby areas? For example, the Bloomsbury-Mablearch region looks close enough, but would it be any less expensive than Soho? Thanks for the help!
21. Hey everyone, I'm trying to find a hotel in the London Soho area, preferably 4 or 5 star. (I'd probably be willing to consider a three star, but I've heard they are more like two-star hotels in the US.) I'm splitting the hotel with a friend, but I'm still on a fairly strict budget. I will be staying in London April 22-27, doing research at LSE. Ideally, I'd like to not spend more than a $100 a night per person (so a $200/night hotel), but perhaps that's a fantasy for the Soho area. I'd be willing to go a bit higher, but $225 or so is at the high end of my budget, and I'd be much more comfortable with something less expensive. I found at 5* on Hotwire haven't tried bidding on Priceline yet. The 5* on Hotwire is doable, but, again, it's at the top of the budget. (After taxes, the total is $1419 or about $700+ per person.) Ideally, I'd like to not spend more than $500-600 per person. I've never been to London, so the reason I'm looking at the Soho district is because it's both close to LSE, and it sounds like a pretty happening area! I'd like to be able to get my research done during the day, and be able to walk around a cool neighborhood in the evenings. If anyone has other suggestions for areas to consider please let me know. Cheers
