  1. Trip got postponed. Not ready to book at this time. Thanks, hopefully it might help some other BBer.
  2. Additional indication that this has been the a Hilton: The parking lot next door still has signs up stating "No Hilton Parking".
  3. Hotwire shows this 3* property for the San Bernardino-Colton-Rialto area, 85% favorable Customer reviews, with the following ammenities: Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Pet friendly Fitness Center Pool(s) Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower TIA. Inquiry made via BetterBidding-HOTWIRE link :)
  4. Ammenities are identical to other recent reports for this property and as follows: Free Internet Pet friendly Airport Shuttle Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Wheelchair accessible Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower
  5. No more Hilton Got 1 night at the same property and it was now confirmed as "Ontario Airport Hotel". Checked at Hilton website as well and it does not show. 4/19 - 4/20: Price $ 56, $ 68.94 a.i. OP, Thanks for post anyway!
  6. Staying next week for one night at the Riviera for $ 34. Given the standard of the hotel, room rate and length of stay, would a $10 chip suffice? P.S. Did not find it on Hotwire, but still used the link from this forum multiple times. :)
  7. Inspoke: Does that include any resort fee, if Wynn charges those at all?
  8. Thks for the replies. That's what I found on the Treasure Island website: "RESORT FEE] To enhance your guest experience, a daily resort fee of $20.00 plus tax includes ........" *) offering all stuff I don't need. Probably go with the Excalibur. *) P.S. It is listed under "Terms & Condistions", which itself can be found by clicking on it at the bottom right of the reservation page.
  9. I was about to jump on a $ 53 deal for the T.I. too, just to find out about the $20 resort fee. Also looking at the Exalibur for $26, but not sure about a resort fee there either .... Now I am totally confused. Is there a thread showing resort fees? Search did not turn up anything. Is it listed somewhere on HOTWIRE?
  10. The amenities were identical to the ones posted by Jordi in this thread: San Francisco Hilton Towers
  11. Thanks for the update. USE seemed a bit too risky as I need to stay as close as possilbe to Market & Grant St. So, I booked with HOTWIRE, got the (safely assumed) Hilton.
  12. 103.00 per night x 2 night(s) = $ 206.00 Taxes, recovery charges, and fees = $ 35.16 (17% of base) Total $ 241.16 Rate is for 2 adults /2 kids. "Some hotels may apply additional charges for incidental fees such as parking" > Bracing myself. This was the only 4* coming up for USW. Thank you to those BBers who posted recent bids for similar dates, helping with this booking. Beside the description Hotwire pointed out "42% savings". I checked Hilton.com and a couple of other sites to find the rate at $ 147. A quick calculation revealed: $ 44 / 103 = 42.7%. Pretty much nails it!
  13. I am bit confused: The Westin St. Francis is being mentioned in winning bids for area USW and USE. Does it come up in both on Priceline?
  14. How much did you total charge (incl. taxes and all PL etc. fees) come out to be?
  15. Did a last minute bid before leaving on vacation: 4/5 - 4/7/07 (=THU - SA Easter weekend) Alamo, mid-size car, Rate: $ 17 / day = $ 34.00 Taxes: $ 18.81 Total Charges: $ 52.81 Taxes equaled 55.3 % of base fee. This percentage is substantially higher than the standard fee charged on regular rentals. Surprisingly lines were bearable and got upgraded to a standard size (Buick LaCross I believe). All-in-all a good experience. :) Regular Alamo rates were in the $ 70 range
  16. Started bidding at $ 18, upped to $ 20. Was accepted with Alamo: Price breakdown: $ 20 + tax & fees $ 10.57 = $ 30.57 Still trying to find something in HNL for 4/5 - 4/7 :)
  17. Widnow xp and Explorer. Hope that helrps .. I am no computer geek
  18. After filling the place (OGG), car size, date and pick-up time and enter, the screen blanks all entries out and prompts me to reenter. ???
  19. My friends decided to book one 1BR suite with 2 double and one sofa bed. So it accommodates the whole family of 5, which they preferred vs. booking 2 rooms. Would be nice if there was a way to book such a room at PL or HW. It was booked at the Residence Inn in Torrance located at Hawthorne & Torrance Blvds., which I am not sure comes up at PL (?).
  20. Congrats to your winning, zbenye. The hotel comes up at $ 99 for those dates atmarriott.com. I am looking to book this or a similar hotel 12/22 - 27 for family friends. Ideally a suite housing 5 people. Is there a way to specify this at PL?
  21. What to expect? There was a report on Travelocity, citing some rooms were pretty bad and the hotel was about to undergo a renovation. Any recent experiences?
  22. As posted elswhere I booked ONT Hilton 2 days ago for 7/15 @ $ 69. Needed anther night in the area for 7/16. The bidding process: Riverside: $ 35 > no good + Riverside West: $ 45 > no good Logged out / in: Ontario: $ 35 > no good PL "one-time" reply + $ 9 = $44 > accepted Decided not to counteroffer/forgo the $9 ad-on as I sensed this could be the Hilton allowing to stay at the same hotel for 2 nights. Now I feel better and for the first time get a little bit of that "BetterBidder" feeling! :)
