  1. Las Vegas 10/17 - 10/18/15: Which hotel is this 3* This 3* property West of Strip is listed with the following ammenities: Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access 40% recommended, $ 16 resort fee, Trip advisor rating 3.5 out of 5. The only match with exactly the same ammenities from the hotel list is the Gold Coast. However the Gold Coast has a 4 out of 5 rating Trip Advisor Rating (?) And the resort fee shows $ 14.55 at Expe.dia, $ 12.99 at Booking.com (?) Any help ID-ing is appreciated.
  2. Reviews for this hotel were mixed, so I decided to book over in Henderson and got the Best Western Plus St. Rose Pkwy/Las Vegas South Hotel. Amenities listed: Free parking, Free breakfast Free Internet, Airport shuttle Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center Pool(s), Business center,Self-service laundry Internet access, Golf nearby Keep in mind: The BB Hotel list still shows this place as a Wingate by Wyndham. Rate: $ 57 + tax/fees 13.65 = $ 70.65 total (no resort fee !!! ) Reservation booked a few mins ago, using the above BB links. Lowest published rate is $ 76 > $ 86.20 a.i. at Expedia, stating only "1 room left", but still comes up. Thanks BetterBidding!
  3. Caveat for families travelling to Las Vegas: Casino hotels often gauge families, by adding extra person charges for more than 2 guests per room. Personally I stay away from Priceline / prefer Hotwire, when travelling with family.
  4. Free parking, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Self-service laundry Offer: $ 22 > $ 45.36 all-in
  5. Ended up getting thru my TA the Monte Carlo at $ 119/night. Thanks all for the support.
  6. Was able to get thru now using BiddingHelper.com. The $ 86 rate as displayed on the regular Hotwire tab comes out to $ 264 all in. Checking thru LV Rate Checker, this is getting close to some quotes at regular rates, with the obvious advantage, that the name of the property is known as well. Some rates are coming down, so I will keep an eye on it.
  7. Thanks for your reply. Using your Bidding.Helper I am seeing now one 4* South Strip as follows: $ 93 on under Easy View tab; here I can still see the full ammenities, and they are the same as above $ 86 on Hotwire tab; here I cannot see the full ammenities In both cases, when I click thru to booking the site gets stuck and I cannot see the full/grand total price. e.g. seems to unbookable, it stops at "Book Now" tab and does not proceed. (?) Also used you link to the Las Vegas Rate Checker, thanks. Meanwhile, have friends staying at the NYNY, so that would be preferrable or Monte Carlo next door.
  8. Thanks for the feedback. The Luxor, interesting. I will keep an eye on it and looking at other options as well. P.S. the hotel now shows at $ 88 / night, but Hotwire blanks out!
  9. Here's what I found: 4*, 1/16 - 1/18 (= 2 nights) $ 98 night; total $292.75 Amenities shown: (as listed on Hotwire EasyView from BiddingHelper) Free parking, Resort, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Looking at the hotel list was a bit inconclusive. So, I klicked thru the price and saw a resort fee of $ 28 / night. Checking a listing of resort fees there are two properties charging that amount: Mandalay, MGM. Btw, according to this one list, these two hotel are the highest resort fees listed. Another list shows them at $ 25/night (?) Based on all of the above: it could be the Mandalay....... Not sure if this approach is valid, though?
  10. Thanks for the reply,. theruare. It appears like the party I was asked to assist, might bypass LV afterall. Nevertheless I keep doing my searches via the Betterbidding links.
  11. Amenities from Bidding Helper - "Hotwire Easy View" show: Free Parking, Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Airport Shuttle, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible Dates: 18-19 July, rate offered: $ 46 Edit: on "regular Hotwire" screen it shows 55% recommended, at $ 42 ..... Room just needed for a night's rest - while in transit on the I-15, no LV visit or sightseeing. Any other suggestions for a brief overnight stay along the I-15 (does not have to be in town) are welcome.
  12. Thanks, Aaron: You might want to update the Hotwire hotel list with "pet friendly" for this property. Actually the lowest prepaid rate at the Crowne Plaza website is $ 99 > $ 113 incl tax. While Hot.wire states Free Internet, the hotel website states, this to be only for IHG members - will see. Also, the hotel charges $ 18 / day for parking, ouch! Wondering, if there is a way to reduce/get around that?
  13. Used Bidding.Helper: Hotwire Easyview showed $ 78, Hotwire showed $ 81 Re-entered search: Easyview came up $ 75 > grabbed it! :) $ 75 + tax/fees $ 20.36 = Total charged $ 95.36 Now it shows $ 78/$81 again Ammenities on EasyView: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower Ammenities on Hotwire: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool, Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Golf nearby
  14. Reporting back: Hotwire showed a 2* for what seemed to be the BW Mardi Gras at $ 159 all in. interestingly, the same hotel was offered for $ 139 all in on another booking website - not sure if it is within T&C of Betterbidding to disclose this. Surprised that a regular booking with hotel name disclosed came in lower than both Hotwire and PL. Talking about an intransparent market place. :) Meanwhile a group / AARP rate of $ 127 (about $ 290 all in) was offered at Embassy Suite, which the party I am helping might end up with.
  15. Listing gone now. Had to make alternate res. Thx.
  16. dates are 3/21 - 23. Thx. Edit: now it shows 2* with the following amms: Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Airport shuttle Pool(s) Selfservice laundry Tripadvisor 3.5 out of 5 Hotwire 70% recommended
  17. Help ID 3 Star and 2.5 Star East of Strip The 3* ammenities listed: Free Parking, Casino, Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking The 2.5 ammenities listed: Free Parking, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Casino, Airport Shuttle, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower Both were pulled thru BiddingHelper.com ..... :) Thx
  18. Yellowdog, I did not feel it was worth a new thread, as I looked at the same property just adding an addl day - be glad to report in new thread, if I successfully book it. Nevertheless, I appreciate your input. \ P.S. Can't pull up the hotel lists for Nevada for either: HW and PL ???
  19. Hi there, just looked at the same hotel/ammenities for 3/14 - 3/16 and it quotes at a rate of $ 107 ++
  20. Today on PRICELINE EXPRESS in Convention Center area a 2.5* for $ 65 shows up with the following ammenities Outdoor Swimming Pool Free Parking Pets Allowed Restaurant Business Center Casino Fitness Center There is currently no 2.5 listed on the Price Line hotel list.
  21. The 8.0 is indeed a important indicator. Awesome detective work! I will keep you posted. Thanks thereuare. Edit: using the HOTWIRE link, another property for NSE pops up: 3-Star: Free Parking, Free Internet, Airport Shuttle, Smoke-free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry 85% customer recommended. Price: $ 48 / night = $ 96 + fees $ 21.99 = $ 117.99; plus resort fee listed as estimate $ 20. Not specified per night or per stay. Looking at the hotel list here this matches the Blackstone Hotel description.
  22. Thanks for your quick reply, Aaron. It it would be the Embassy Suite I would definitely spring for it, the Marriott maybe. Not for the LV Hotel.
  23. I got a PL EX 3.5 Star offer for $ 106, March 14 - 16, 2014. Looking at the hotel list Convention Center this could be: Las Vegas Hotel Embassy Suites Las Vegas Marriott PRICELINE EXPRESS shows "guaranteed amenities": Outdoor Swimming Pool Business Center Free Parking Fitness Center Guest Score Rating: 8.0 For comparison: Hotwire offers for the same stay at $ 79, for what most likely is IDed as the Las Vegas Hotel. First choice would be the Embassy Suites, as some friends are already staying there.
  24. Hi there, I am looking at a 3.5* NSE which look similar (LVH?) to this Hotwire hotel win at a rate of $ 75 for March 14 - 16, 2014. HOWEVER the ammenities list does NOT include: Spa Services Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower Is this the same hotel or not?
