As I checked in last night, a woman who had just walked in was trying to get a discounted room rate and the clerk on duty was telling her that she can't give her a better rate than $96 per night. That's double what I paid using PRICELINE (and I did use the Better Bidding link). I wonder if this might lead to some kind of formula: call a couple Priceline hotels in your star preference, get their "best phone rate", and then bid half. Maybe a starting bid anyway. The "regular" suites have a microwave, a small refrigerator, free wireless Internet (wired also available), and a 30"-wide flat screen TV. I think the "executive" suites have a separate kitchenette and a garden tub. The business center has four workstations and a printer. There is a weight room and a guest laundry area. More than I would expect for two stars.
