Used the better bidding list to narrow down my possibilities ... and it was right!
That's awesome because I too am looking for a 4-star downtown Toronto (on a Friday night mind you) and it's running me a lot more already. That's a great price for the offering. Congrats. Side Note: My Express Deal on this night is showing $133 ... yeah! lol
A little disappointed that I kinda jumped the gun but with PRICELINE offering me $3 extra dollars towards my bid, I felt it was better to put in a higher than wanted bid (I was bidding in the 'teens' originally!) in hopes that it would go through tonight ... And it did. Turned that around when I compared to any "deals" I could find on my own ... Priceline was still the best option. Priced out the SUV and it turns out it's about $50 more in gas for the entire trip. I'd rather have the extra space and take the hit to the pocket book on this one :D
Played around for a bit with different options but wasn't getting too far. Dropped my star level and came up with this one. $60 Canadian for a room that reviews as clean and accessible, I'm happy with that. Just wanted something for a crazy night out (Halloween), should be fun. Used the appropriate links off the forum too :) Thanks! P.S. Had no idea this place was an option, didn't see it on the list. The Hilton was one of 2 preferred properties we were considering ... last minute, I told my girlfriend we need to just bid and see what happens and what do you know, Hilton it was. Shhhh, just don't tell Hilton that! (Well actually, we almost booked with another property so, this worked in THEIR favor actually!)
