  1. Was shooting for the Aloft and got stuck with this place (I had already struck out on 2* for $30/night). Great location just of BW Parkway with a 14 screen movie theater, 7-11, and Wendy's sharing the same parking lot. 5 minutes from Inner Harbor without getting on any Interstates plus safe neighborhood. Hotel cleanliness left something to be desired -at least the room I got. 1 queen bed and the floors were nasty. The tile floor in the kitchen/bathroom had a grease to it from the filth. Worst cleanliness I've encountered with an Extended Stay affiliated property. Homestead Baltimore - BWI Airport * 939 International Drive Linthicum Heights, MD 21090 410-691-2500 Check in Date: Apr 20, 2010 Check out Date: Apr 22, 2010 Price per night: $35.00 Subtotal: $70.00 Taxes and Fees: $17.30 Total Charges: $87.30
  2. Mods this might should be moved to the Virgina board as Crystal City is a DC suburb in Virginia next to the DCA airport. Not sure of how to move it.
  3. First Bid of $45 accepted. Now wish I'd started bidding lower, but didn't see any history of anyone getting a 3*+ room in Crystal City this low. Hopefully someone else can use this info to find the price floor. Your Offer Price: $45.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $45.00 Taxes and Fees: $13.52 Total Charges*: $58.52 Perfect for an early flight out of DCA.
  4. From winning bids here, bid $39 for a 3* BWI zone airport. Got the expected Aloft property. Nice looking property with free airport shuttle should be good for what I need it for. Total $51 for one night.
  5. Initially bid $55 for 3 star in Secausus/North Bergen, Priceline came back with an offer to bid $15 higher I could retry same bid. Ignored and added Rutherford zone (didn't care if I got a 3 star there either) and upped bid to $61 thinking I was bidding on the Hyatt Place from others posts on this great website. Unfortunately not the Hyatt Place but got the Holiday Inn Harmon Meadow. Still looks like an awesome deal and just what I was looking for. Total $579 for 2 rooms for 4 nights.
  6. First bid $12/day accepted over a weekend. Guessed starting bid based on $15.95/day found on HOTWIRE. If I had it to do over, would've tried $10-11. Still lots cheaper than retail. Pick Up Date: Mar. 13, 2008 - 8:30 PM Drop Off Date: Mar. 17, 2008 - 8:30 PM Your Offer Price: $12/day Total Rental Days: 4 Subtotal: $48.00 Taxes and Fees: $19.41 Total Charges: $67.41
  7. First bid accepted. Lowest priceline bid I've ever got in Frederick. I believe the same hotel was available on Hotwire for $50 based on * rating and amenities.
  8. FYI about this hotel/situation. I live outside Frederick and have to get rooms for friends/family alot. If you monitor this hotel price on hotwire, it can be had cheaper in the morning hours. It usually can be had for around $50 in the morning; $65 in the afternoons. Weird but true. Also I've had luck with last minute bids in the area on priceline. Last trip my parents visited, I couldn't find anything cheaper than $70 so I had them booked in a mom&pop in Charles Town, WV. Tried a bid of $40 for * at 4pm day of arrival and got the really nice new Fairfield just off 85.
  9. Excellent location. Was 2 blocks from the river, 5 from the Reds stadum, would be 2 from the Bengals. Across the street from the Hyatt and caddy-corner to the Hilton Netherland Place. Also a couple blocks from the fountain and next door to the convention center. Parking can kill your bargain if you don't watch it downtown. However, with the location you really never have to drive anywhere. I lost my ticket and got 2 days of parking at the Tower Place Garage for $15, which is not too bad (normally $15/day with ticket). If you can exit at a time when there's no attendant, it's only $5 for however long. Asked for Double/Non-smoking and was obliged even with the attendant seeing the PL res. This hotel definately doesn't discriminate due to PL as I got an upper floor working clean room. Room was elegantly decorated although was kind of on the small side. Really just room for the two beds. Beds were comfy and had a new 25' TVs and free high speed. The only drawback was my remote didn't work, but who travels to watch TV anyways. All in all a very postive Priceline experience, and a great cheap way to check out the Queen City!
  10. Staying 7/15-7/17. Bid $30 first, 3* only downtown. Rejected Bid $34, added Ft. Mitchell. Rejected Bid $35, added Cincinnati East. Accepted This must be the cheapest 3* downtown for the timeframe. Will work good for a Reds game. Don't plan on paying their $20 parking though. Will write back with a review after trip.
