Yea, won TI 9/28-9/30 for $93/night after trying various combos, Hotline, Express, 5* north (no luck, too expensive for what I wanted). And prices actually went down from the weekend. Persistence paid off. Thanks Betterbidding for you assistance. And yes, I used the PRICELINE links.

Thanks for the info. I appreciate the help. Decided to bid for 4* north strip priceline for 9/28-9/30 and see if I can get a better deal than PRICELINE EXPRESS. We decided against Trump and 5* north isn't taking my bids in my price range like last year. So 4* north it'll have to be. TI is good. So we'll keep our fingers crossed for a good win. But I copied and pasted this offer and am wondering if it is the Trump or not and why they would offer a lower price with a 10% discount and then almost double the 'mandatory fees'? Also wondering if it's hard to navigate getting to and from the strip from Trump, is it far? It seems complicated... Hope someone from the board can help... thanks

Thanks, we hope we'll like it. Have never been there. Previously we got Aria last yr @ $133 and yr before Pallazzo @ $138, so we realize this is in a different catagory. Just couldn't snag North 5* this year within our budget. It'll be fine I hope. :)

Ok, yeaaa. Finally got TI today after bidding daily for 1 1/2 wks. Wasn't planning on going above $122/night with Priceline as Hotwire had 4* North Strip for these date @ $122/night (that may have been TI or Mirage?). So it's pretty good considering there is a Sat. night involved and it may be people are celebrating Halloween weekend? But it seemed to be more expensive than other weekends, but we had no choice due to work. I struck out trying for my first preference of 5*North strip with a max of $135/night on Priceline a couple of weeks ago, so I switched to 4* North strip and finally succeeded. Thanks. And it also mentions 'about a $20 resort fee'. Is Monte Carlo or Luxor still your best guess? Also thought it was weird that it's only got a Trip Advisor rating and not any rating for Hotwire. I found 4* strip North for $122 on Hotwire, so I've been trying to bid less for same 4* North Strip w/ Priceline. Just not sure how much lower I should try. That one darn Saturday night is killing us. Your thoughts are appreciated.

I'm not an expert, but you said your friends are staying @ Palazzo? I believe it is considered NORTH strip, not South. Check it out. Just an FYI. Have fun!!

I'm not an expert, but trying to do something similar to you. Keep in mind that 4* South Strip (with Priceline Name your own bid) INCLUDES the Tropicana which is much farther from your Mirage show than TI. I personally don't care for the Trop as it is too far south and not as convenient as we walk everwhere. Just saying. I bid last year and had really good luck with this forum and got Aria for $133/nite over Halloween weekend. I'm still working on this year for Oct. Good LUCK!!

5* Kitchenette without a Casino in North sounds like Trump. But I could be wrong. Does anyone think the South is Vdara?

Am I being realistic trying to get 5* Strip north (not vicinity) at max $138 for Oct 27 - 29 on Priceline NYOP? I've been trying daily going up to the max price w/ the 11 rebid zones and no luck. Maybe it's still too early? I checked for major events/conventions and couldn't seem to see much. Unfortunately it involves one Sat night. If push comes to shove, I'll later change to strip south, or add it at a lower max price. What are your thoughts? And what is a reasonable max for 5* strip south (it seems to be cheaper than north) for those dates? REally appreciate all the help this site provides. Last year I began using you and have had great luck... THanks!! :D

I'm confused about waiting 24 hrs to rebid on priceline. Is it 24 from the time you started the process or from the last bid attempt before I ran out of zones? I can't recall what time yesterday I started trying to get a 5* PL in Vegas. So today I don't know what time I can rebid again. And every time I re-check to see if it's time, will that reset the 24 hr clock again?? I searched the forum for the answer and can't seem to find it. I need assistance quickly. I'm trying to get 5* North (NOT TRUMP) or South strip Oct 27 & 28th. for hopefully under $138. Thanks for the help!
