Didn't have any luck with priceline. Bid up to $125. Went back to hotwire and played with occupancy (3) and saw what appeared to be the Marriott Courtyard for $135. 3 1/2* so I picked that and it was. With occupancy of (2) 4* was what I believe to be the Condado and I really didn't want that.

Okay. Now the hotel for $129 is different from the one last night. Last night showed fitness center, pool, rest., business center, tennis, spa. Wasn't sure what that was. Today for $129 shows a casino, waterfront, beach nearby. I believe this is the Condado. I was really hoping for the Caribe. I think I will try bidding on PRICELINE one more time. Will let you know.

OOOOh. you think that is the Caribe because that what I want. The symbols didn't indicate that it was on the beach, so I wasn't sure what hotel it was.

I am so spoiled!!! I have always gotten a hotel that I want here on priceline. This morning I booked a great flight last minute for this saturday to tuesday 2/6 to 2/9 assuming i would get a hotel. I just bid 4* san juan with rebid zones started at $75 and stopping at $110. all rejected. I assume there is no inventory. Any advise? I will go higher. I would really like to be on the beach. Thanks I have tomorrow to continue trying.

Hello....I have never used priceline to bid for airfare, but i have successfully used it for hotels. The going rate for a 1 stop round trip ticket is $515 with taxes ($466 w/out taxes). how do I go about bidding? Could I possible get a ticket for around $200-250? is that reasonable? Boston to Rapid City, SD. Thanks.

My original bid was $40 for 3*. Priceline came back asking me to increase my bid by $12 I could retry my bid again. :) FINALLY!!!!! I just saw someone win a bid for the Caribe Hilton on 3/15/09 for $95. So I thought I would give my 3/7/09 date another try. Bid $95 rejected. Ok, I have been bidding 4* up to $140 for this night pretty regularly. I don't want to go any higher. Today I dropped down to a 3* and bid up to $115....rejected. Wow, I have been spoiled! I travel this time of year on a yearly bases and have always had great luck with a fantastic price. I'm not giving up yet, I just hope I don't have to go higher the $115 for a 3*.

Yes. The Marriott Miramam for $130. I guess it's not on the beach. I would prefer something on the beach. Would love to get the Caribe. That has always been my win in the past for under $100. I don't know how realistic that is now.

I'm willing to go higher, but also need to book post cruise 2 night stay 3/15 to 3/17. Any ideas? I am thinking that there will be some good deals the closer we get to March. In that past, I have bid and got the Caribe Hilton for under $100. I think these days are gone.

I am new to this board. I tried to register and kept getting an error message so I am posting using a friends sign on info with her permission. I need a hotel room for five (three kids ages 12,9 and 6 with two parents) preferabbly in the Inner Harbor April 26-28 to see the Red Sox. Any advice for a new user?

I have been trying the above strategy frequently...all rejected. Today I read that someone got the Caribe Hilton for $75 for 2/23 pre cruise stay. So I tried $70 for 2 rooms on 3/17/07 1 night...accepted!! (savingsbarn) :) One of the rooms will have 3 guests, but I'll take my chances. I will call the hotel and request 2 dbl.
