  1. I booked the 2.5* for the following dates on the express deal: 7/30/17 - 8/4/17. It was the La Quinta Inn Carlsbad just like I thought. This is a total steal! It is $56/night, 68% off at the listed price on priceline and and goes up to $110 on the express deal if you vary the dates at all. I booked it through your PRICELINE link and it was the hotel I thought it was. The real deal is that it gives you the option to pick your room and it has the king sofa sleepers and the king suites for the same price. The king suites are at $219/night on priceline's normal price which is $1200 for the 5 days I booked instead of the $336 on the express deal.
  2. I followed up on my La Jolla post. I never followed up because I didn't end up booking through priceline or hotwire, I went direct to a best western.
  3. I ended up booking direct with a Best Western. Didn't want to take the risk this time and I don't love the location of the Marriott in case that was it.
  4. There is a hotel showing 68% off ($56/night) in Carlsbad with 7+/10 and 300 reviews. Here are some of the amenities: Pets Allowed Free Parking Business Center Free Internet Free Breakfast Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities The other clue that I think helps a lot is the fact that not only is there a bed choice, but it has options with sleeper-sofas and suites. Here are the bed options: King Bed - Nonsmoking Room - Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Mini Fridge, Microwave $56/night King Bed + Sofabed - Nonsmoking Room - Free Breakfast, Free Wifi $56/night 2 Queen Beds - Nonsmoking Room - Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Fridge, Microwave $56/night King Bed - Suite - Free Breakfast, Free Internet $56/night It seems a little strange to me that all of these bed options are the same price. I googled 2.5* carlsbad sofabed and the Ramada Inn Carlsbad came up with similar options. I hope it isn't this hotel but that's a pretty good price to pass up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Would HOTWIRE really have the star rating different than every other major website?
  6. Most websites where I found the Marriott La Jolla have it as a 3.5* is there still a chance that they could have it as a 4*? Is there ever any recourse after booking if every website has it as a different star rating than what they are listing it as on the "secret hot rate?"
  7. I am looking to ID a 4* hotel in La jolla, the dates I put in are 6/6/13-6/8/13 and it's showing a price of $105/night. Other sites at $214/night and a 75% hotwire customer reviews. I'm skeptical to book it since I would prefer to book a lower star hotel closer to the beach and I have a feeling that this is by the freeway. Here are the amenities: Pet friendly Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access
  8. I need help identifying a 2.5* in la Jolla 6/6-8/8. The price it's showing is $106 but it isn't showing the price on other websites or what the hotel is rated. It also says that this hotel charges a resort fee. Please help as I need to book very soon! Thanks, Here are the amenities: Free Breakfast Near Beach Business Center Laundry Facilities I'm wondering if it's the La jolla Inn hotel. They charge a resort fee, are by the beach, have free breakfast, and have a business center. I'm pretty sure it is. It isn't showing up with a regular rate on HOTWIRE, but on hotels.com its showing $134/night which means this isn't that great of a deal.
  9. The regular price for this room was $157/night on PRICELINE. I put in $80 and got it on my first bid. I couldn't imagine that I could have gotten it for much less, the median price for a 4* room in that section was $243/night.
