  1. Update I really want to stay at the Hilton Waikiki Beach since its a 4* hotel relatively close to the beach with no resort fee. I tried bidding on priceline again for 4* Waikiki Central with no luck all the way up to $151. They did counter offer for $178 or something like that. Also, popped up with a limited time offer on a priceline express 4* waikiki central for $168 but it was out of my budget after all the fees. For the 3.5* star Pacific Beach Hotel that is hidden on Hotwire secret hotel it was approx. $605 after resort fee. At the end I ordered the Pacific Beach for $522+$60 resort with continental breakfast through another source. Which is not my ideal hotel since its more of a dated 3* type but the location is prime. If I am able to find any last minute deals for a 4* star hotel in the area I will switch. I would like to thank all of you for the help and I will make sure to return to make some purchase with your links. :)
  2. I dont have any input on the hotels. But I do notice from experience the Hotwire prices change depending on how many times you clicked it, which computer, from what link, are you logged in, etc. Just make sure its the same amenities before you make the purchase.
  3. No Sorry for the confusion I didnt explain well. My guess $80 Vdara $91Aria $119 Bellagio, because tennis and wheelchair accessible amenity doesnt show up as previous wins for other hotels in this area
  4. 5* The Strip – South $80 FULL AMENITIES: Free Parking, Free Internet, Condo, Suite, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower 5* The Strip – South $90 FULL AMENITIES: Free Parking, Resort, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower The Strip – South $119 FULL AMENITIES: Free Parking, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower. It seems that you may be interested in Bellagio from what you commented. So I did some digging for you for The Strip – South to see what is available. My guess for the 5* The Strip – South $80 would be the Vdara because of the Condo amenity listed. For the 5* The Strip – South $90 there was two different possible wins with Resort which is the Aria Hotel or The Bellagio. My guess is the Aria for $90 because the $119 matches the Bellagio more. The $119 difference in amenities are the Tennis, and wheelchair accessible which falls into the Bellagio amenities available. Do check the amenities listed to make sure it didnt change before you make your decision and wait for moderator to comment. I hope you get something you are looking for.
  5. For the 5* The Strip - North it comes up with 3 different options for your dates on Hotwire 5* The Strip - North $85 FULL AMENITIES: Free Parking, Free Internet, Spa Services, Resort, Pet friendly, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Kitchenette 5* The Strip - North $96 FULL AMENITIES: Free Parking, Free Internet, Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower 5* The Strip - North $135 FULL AMENITIES: Free Parking, Free Internet, Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower My guess for the 5* $85 option is for the Trump Tower International because of the Kitchenette amenity The only difference between the 5* $96 and $135 is the self service laundry amenity. I am unsure about the self service laundry amenity its not listed as a previous win on the list. I compared with the previous wins on the board for Resort amenity in The Strip - North. This makes me guess $135 per night option will be either The Palazzo or The Venetian. However, wait for the moderators to comment to verify.
  6. Are you trying to win Bellagio? Its not on the North side. It is a possible win for the 5* The Strip - South
  7. Did some research and zoomed into the maps on HOTWIRE for the waikiki beach cut off area. The other 3.5* hotel within the shaded area for regular price on hotwire are: 3.5* Embassy beachwalk $309 regular on hotwire (no resort fee) 3.5* Park Shore Waikiki $189 regular on hotwire (no resort fee) Because of the huge price difference for Embassy beachwalk I have a gut feeling it might be Park Shore?
  8. May 2-May 6 (4 nights) Waikiki Beach 3.5* $106 Amenities Include: Pool(s), Business Center and more... FULL AMENITIES: Near Beach, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Tennis Nearby Rate per night $106.00 Nights 4 Rooms (2 adults) 1 Subtotal $424.00 Tax recovery charges + fees $87.58 Hotwire total $511.58 It seems like the only hotels common for this waikiki beach is Aston Waikiki beach Hotel or Pacific Beach Hotel at this star level. Previously the amenities were different for those hotels with resort fee listed. I am curious on this hotel since it doesnt show any resort fee. Can I get some help on ID'ing this hotel? Is it possible to have resort fee if its not mentioned on Hot.wire? Thanks!
  9. Ive been researching a lot for Maui and Waikiki for the past month for my vacation. Heres another option I noticed for your dates on Priceline.Express. 3½ Star Hotel in Ka'anapali - Lahaina Area for $115/night Amenities: Free Internet in room Indoor or Outdoor Pool Condo It looks like it is a better deal if you are interested with the 10% coupon code M3HVK8SD ->> expires 11:59pm ET on 4/11/2014. Priceline Total = $616 after coupon Additional charge by hotel = $78.12 during check out Total trip = 694.12 From my research, the common 3.5 star in this area won for name your own price or hotwire etc. are: Aston Kaanapali Shores - this one is consider a condo (for your dates $90 mandatory fee according to Priceline regular price)Outrigger Aina Nalu - this one is consider a condo (for your dates $78.12 mandatory fee according to Priceline regular price)The Royal Lahaina resort (looks like no additional fee)Aston At The Whaler On Kaanapali Beach (for your dates $52.10 mandatory fee according to Priceline regular price)I am not 100% sure but from this I think it is a good indicator that it might be Outrigger Aina Nalu because of the $78.12 mandatory fee
  10. Heres an update I tried bidding on priceline for 4* for waikiki beach & 4* waikiki central started at $145, $150, $153 with no luck today. I can get the Hilton Waikiki beach for $725 directly from the hotel with a coupon. So I wont go any higher on priceline for this. I will continue my search for a deal. Thanks!
  11. I am ready to start bidding or making the purchase now. I would be happy with the Vive Hotel Waikiki (3.5* Central Waikiki). It had the amenities listed before on hotwire that matched this property. Today when I tried to use hotwire or the BiddingHelper it seems like there is no amenities listed at all now. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks
  12. Ive been trying for the past couple of weeks with no luck. Today I received the Priceline 7% off coupon email and used it with success :D First, I tried maui Ka'anapali - Lahaina Area 4* $145 = declined asked for $50 increase to rebid rebid added Ka'anapali - Lahaina Area 3.5* $120 = declined rebid added zone 2 and got Ka'anapali - Lahaina Area 3.5* for $124 *WINNING BID FOR Aston Kaanapali Shores* Just for reference the express deal for most likely the same hotel was $127/per night. I would say the express prices are a good indicator of what price to expect approximately. My travel dates are April 27-May 2 Thank you for all the help!
  13. 3.5* Waikiki Beach Hotel for $127per night + $20.94 resort/hotel fee = Subtotal $694.54 after all fees I need some help verifying if it is the Aston Waikiki Beach hotel or the Pacific Beach Hotel. Thanks! FULL AMENITIES: Near Beach, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower
  14. I did some research and my best guess for the 3* star central Waikiki with parking would be the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani. It shows up on Hot.wire with a $24.88 hotel fee per night. For that area thats the only 3* hotel that includes parking in the resort fee but instead it shows up for $26.18 per night. Another clue is the tripadvisor 3.5 out of 5 Rating (Hotwire). The common review of the 3.5* Vive Hotel for $521.86USD are about the tiny and cramped rooms with no central a/c only window. The Possible 3* Sheraton $533.30 (including parking) looks dirty from some complaints with pictures. I will need to think this through and see if I should up my budget.
  15. I prefer not to change hotel mid trip so I will stick to keeping all days combined. Also, I changed my flight and my travel dates are updated to April 27-May 2 for the Maui portion of my stay. 3.5* Kaanapali Lahaina - Priceline.Express for those dates are $711.90+ $90 hotel/resort fee = $801.90 (after using the 5% coupon SPRING14) So far I tried bidding on Price.line up to $117 per night 3.5* Kannapali Lahaina after all the fees the total price is $681.50 with no luck . (excluding the additional hotel fees that will be paid) I am going wait it out a bit to see if prices change on PRICELINE EXPRESS and HOTWIRE. I will update as soon as I make a decision on this stay. I started a new thread on my honolulu portion of my trip in the meantime. Thank you! :)
  16. Nope it was a Priceline.Express that I was requesting information on. I am thinking to wait it out to see if Hot.wire or Price.line Express prices will drop a bit. Ive tried bidding before up to $30 difference in total trip price from the total express price and I didn't end up winning. They offered for me to go $39 more per night which will end up being more expensive. Does this seem normal? As soon as I end up booking I will update the Maui forum with prices. I clicked the links quoted. Thank you!
  17. My travel dates are Friday May 2 - Tues May 6. Can I please get some help IDing? I clicked the quick quote and bidding helper links above to do the research Thanks in advance. 3* Hotel in Waikiki Central $91 per night Free Parking Free Internet Near Beach Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Self service laundry Internet access Wheelchair accessible 3.5* Hotel in Waikiki Central $108 per night (looks like Vive Hotel Waikiki??) Free Breakfast Free Internet Near Beach Business Center Internet access Golf Nearby
  18. I believe the lower price might be due to some construction going on. You should check some of the regular booking sites I read it off somewhere. Nevermind I just noticed you finished your stay. I hope you had a good time there. :)
  19. Thank you for your help! :) I decided to try bidding for a 4* hotel instead using PRICELINE for now since I have some time. I tried to breakdown the cost per night on HOTWIRE to get an idea on how to bid for this on priceline. April 25 - $196 April 26 - $226 April 27 - $232 April 28 - $197 April 29 - $196 April 30 - $194 Is it a good idea to break down the bidding to 3 nights instead of bidding 6 nights altogether?
