  1. Bidding for Oct. 11. Downtown. *3.5 stars. Would consider *3 but I don't think I want to risk getting the Holiday Inn. It seems far from the old market area we want to be in.
  2. We had to change our plans and go this weekend so I just tried again. Bid up to $65 with no luck. Omaha PRICELINE market sure has changed. HOTWIRE is high also.
  3. Yes, I think that would be my max considering the additional fees involved. I may keep an eye on HOTWIRE for a few days also.
  4. Trying for Downtown zone on Oct. 5 for 1 night. I bid on 3.5 star level. I would bid on 3* also except they include the Holiday Inn which I really don't want. Here are a couple of rates. 3.5*- Dbl tree-107 Hilton-119 Magnolia-147 3*- Hilton Garden Inn-109 Courtyard-129 Element-109 I've bid up to $60 (with fees ends up being 77) Odd I can get a room in Dwtn Atlanta for 62 but not Omaha NE. Hotwire has $57 for 2* $86 for 3* and $100 for 4* Should I just keep trying up to $60 or do you have other suggestions? Searching from your links. Thanks
  5. Price dropped from 76 to 62 over a couple of days. Have been unsuccessful with priceline, but doubtful I would've gotten anything for less than this hotwire deal.
  6. We decided to book the hotwire room, to my surprise the price had dropped from 76 to 62! And you were correct in your ID which is terrific because as it looks the Marriot is directly across the street from our convention hotel. Thanks for your help. Used your HOTWIRE link.
  7. HOTWIRE is 73.00. I have bid up to 65.00 on PRICELINE using your link each time. Thanks
  8. Atlanta. Nov. 20 checking out 24th. Indoor Pool, Fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet, accessible for blind, accessible for deaf, accessible path of travel, in room accessibilty, accessible bathroom, handicap parking, roll in shower. We have a convention at the Hyatt Downtown, with convention rate of 165.00 No luck on Priceline yet. Thanks for any ideas on ID of this Hotwire.
  9. The trip is Atlanta Nov. 20 checking out the 24th. I have bid a couple of times for downtown adding free rebids up to $60 (as that is what I have seen won before) Perhaps it's the 4 night stay or it's just too early, but I will keep trying from your link. Thanks
  10. Hello, In your experience how soon have you seen hotels open up inventory to priceline?
  11. We regularily stay in downtown and we love it. Typically pay about $60 through priceline and have gotten hotel Phillips and The Aladdin HI. We find lots to do downtown just by walking around. There's a fun rooftop bar called John's big deck. And of course the downtown farmers market is amazing.
  12. Yes that is the address. Amenities: Free Parking, Smoke free rooms, laundry facilities (self service),free breakfast, fitness center, high speed internet, airport shuttle, business center.
  13. Have been bidding everyday on PRICELINE. Tried all combinations (starting with your link) of acceptable zones, failure at every turn. Ended up with a 2.5* for $42 through HOTWIRE. Super 8 DFW North. Has what we needed, a shuttle and also free breakfast so it will work just fine. However after looking at their website I only saved 2$. This was my first Hotwire booking, not a good savings but a good price. Thanks for your help.
  14. Think I will give bidding another go today and then make a decision. I will let you know. Thanks for the help.
  15. I'm seeing on PRICELINE deals a *2 for $32. Wifi, free Parking,Pets, shuttle, fitness center. Or a *3.5 star @ $46 with Pool, restaurant, shuttle, fitness center. On HOTWIRE I see *2.5 for *42 with free parking, smoke free, laundromat, breakfast, fitness room, internet, shuttle, business center. Any guess as to what the *2 star is for $32? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.
  16. Hello, I've been bidding for the following: (using your PRICELINE link) Feb. 19th for one night as this is a layover. Want to be cheap. Started with 2.5 stars in the DFW airport zones @25, bid to 30, added *3 bid to $35. Started over and was trying for the *4 hyatt in DFW North airport zone as I see it wins frequently at 46.00 and is at the airport. No luck. Their website rate is 203.00. Any recommendations? We really just want to be close to the airport (a free shuttle would be great) Comfort Inn and the like are just fine for 1 night. Should I just book the new deals on PRICELINE EXPRESS, switch to HOTWIRE, or wait a few days? Thanks in advance.
  17. I will pass that on of course and will do my own searching for her from here. Thanks for the suggestion, she may look at another area as $150 was her max.
  18. Hello, I'm trying to help a friend with a priceline room. Have struck out so far. Dates are Jan. 12-19 and she would like to be in the Naples central zone, on the beach. According to their websites the Bellasera is not available and the Naples Bay Resort is $236 per night. We bid up to $150. I'm thinking the problem is the 7 night stay? She's not trilled about splitting up into 2 hotels. Any suggestions? Did I leave out any pertinent information? Thank You.
  19. Decided to take a chance on Priceline. Used the search box on this site. Bid *3 @ $45 got an offer to up $10. added 2 more zones at $2 then $1 and got the hotel I wanted. Holiday Inn Alladin at $49. Hotel rate $99. Thanks for the help.
  20. I just need to decide if I should take the risk of not getting the HI on PRICELINE hoping for a better price. With fees HOTWIRE is 74.00 a night. Hotel website is 99 which leads me to believe PRICELINE may be lower? Although it is a Holiday also, so perhaps not.
  21. Is this what you mean by reply to original message? I clicked the links.
  22. Hello, I am trying for a downtown Kansas City room for Nov. 21 and Nov.22. I am familiar with priceline but haven't really used Hotwire. I would love to get the Phillip (stayed there before) or Holiday Inn as they are both historic hotels. It seems bids over $60 in *4 get the Sheraton or Westin which I'm really not interested in because they are further away from actual downtown. The residence inn is thrown in with *3 Holiday Inn however. I don't see that it has come up often though. Hotwire has a 3.5* Downtown for $59 here are the amenities: 3.5-star Hotel in Downtown Kansas City and Crown Center This Hotel features the following amenities: Boutique Hotel Property offers a distinctive, unique or eclectic atmosphere.
