  1. Thanks for the info. I think i want to stick with NMA for now. So, what should I change on the strategy? How can I help you before I bid on priceline?
  2. thereuare, man, you sure have good memory:) I just updated the thread. I think i can settle with any descent hotel on Michigan Ave at cheaper price. I'm from the chicago suburbs, basically just want to have a place to sleep for a nite in downtown:) What does NMA mean? I'm guess it's north michigan ave? Thanks.
  3. I ended up staying at Golden Nugget for the first two nites and got priceline at Venetian for the last two nites.
  4. Hi! Can someone please tell me the bidding strategy to get Hyatt Regency Chicago for one nite (12/25/2005 to 12/26/2005)? I'm looking for a descent hotel on Michihan Ave at around $60-70/nite. Thanks.
  5. I see.....I guess I might have the luck to see spidy jumping from one roof to another :)
  6. thereuare, Can I know my room # and which tower I will be staying at Venetian if I call them? I guess by bidding thru priceline.com, I can't choose the room that I want. Thanks.
  7. I do realize that $130/nite at Aladdin is a good deal for the weekends. But the thing is if we take the Grand Canyon bus tour, it will consume 14 hrs of our day. I just can't justify paying $130/nite for the hotel and only for sleeping for a couple hours:) But I'm tired of keep looking for good deals for the weekends.....
  8. The orleans will be another my off-strip hotel's choice, can I get it at cheaper price on priceline.com? The lowest price I saw so far is $98/nite. Thanks.
  9. I called SPG and they confirmed that the reservation is cancellable. I have one question now, if I bid for 4* hotel on fremont st, what kind of hotel will I get? What if I want to get Golden Nugget, how much should I bid? Thanks.
  10. thereuare, Thanks for your quick reply. I can get Aladdin at $130 /nite with my Starwood Preferred Guest Discount. But I'm trying to save some money on hotel so that I can go on a plane/helicopter Grand Canyon trip and watch 'O' at Bellagio....... I do realize that $100 /nite in the weekends is pushing it:)
  11. thereuare, I bidded up to $92/ nite on priceline.com without any luck. I'm thinking of ordering the Entertainment Book now and use the $30 off coupon on hotwire, do u think I can get a descent deal on hotwire after the coupon? Thanks.
  12. thereuare, I just got Venetian for $100/nite for 2 nites (7/17-7/19). I did click thru savingbarn and hopefully you will get referral fee. Your Offer Price: $100.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $200.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $29.59 Total Charges: $229.59 After tax, it's about $115/nite, wish that it's $100, oh well :)
  13. thereuare, not yet. I plan to do it sometimes today. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks.
  14. thereuare, thanks for your help. I've started another new thread for 4* hotel.
  15. This is what I plan to do for 7/15 to 7/17: 1st try: Strip Zone, 4* deluxe, @$85 2nd try: Add zone: LAS Airport, @$90 3rd try: Add zone: Nellis - Las Vegas Speedway, @$95 4th try: Add zone: UNLV area @$99 I didn't include Henderson and Northwest Zone because they have resorts there. Will this strategy work? Thanks.
  16. This is what I plan to do for 7/17 to 7/19, please correct me if it's incorrect: 1st try: Strip Zone, 5* luxury, @$90 2nd try: Add zone: west of strip, @$95 3rd try: Add zone: fremont st, @$99 4th try: Add zone: covention center, @$102 Does any of the rebid zone contains resort? I don't think so. Another question, can I start another bid on a 4* on the strip for 7/15 to 7/17? I know it's unlikely that I will get <$100/nite but would like to give it a try. Thanks!
  17. Thanks for your suggestions! what specific strategy should I use if I want to get venetian for $99/nite for the weekdays?
  18. Hi! I'm looking for deals on hotel(1 room) from 7/15-7/19. I'm willing to stay at different hotel for the weekends and for the weekdays. I've already booked the flight so only look for hotel. 4 * or better hotel on the strip will be nice and I would like to spend less than $100/nite if possible. Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks.
