Looking for a hotel for 3/27-29 and were hoping for the Downtown or Harbor Island area. 2 came up a 1* with complimentary breakfast and highspeed internet access and a 2* with complimentary breakfast. Any idea which hotels these might be? Had originally wanted something a little nicer, but budget concerns are a factor now. Does anyone know if either of these have a shuttle to the airport or would that have been listed? Thanks

Amenities: Casino, Shuttle, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Spa, Hi-Speed Internet, Children's Activities, Golf, Tennis, Business, Laundry Had a great time at this hotel for a great price. Asked about booking another night at the same rate through the hotel, but their rate before taxes was more like $60. They have a fabulous breakfast buffet which we highly recommend. Nice rooms and lots of places to eat onsite.

Daughter booked for 2 nights. We tried several bids with using free zones, she got hers at $55 and I tried $53 and it was accepted. Fun to bid on separate computers on wireless connections. Great Hotel, Great Location, Great Price. Room was very nice with a wonderful view and service for us was fine. Son-in-law checked in first and they had requested a non smoking with King and were told none available. They did end up putting them in a smoking room with King bed. Ended up not being a major problem as they had room air cleaners in each room, although he was miffed that they did not get the room requested. We checked in right after him but with a different person and were given a non smoking king room without any problems. We put our request in via their email link for Priceline. Our daughter had called the hotel with the request. Decor was modern with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom. View was spectacular at night. It was very nippy, but we enjoyed our short stay in Chicago and hope to return for a week if we can get these kind of rates when the weather is a little warmer! Tried bidding on 3* using free bids @ $30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 all rejected Started a new bid for 2 1/2 * @ $33, 35 Started a new bid for 2* @$30 and added Winter Haven for free bid at $32 and bid was accepted. Called hotel to check and see if they have a 24 hour shuttle as our flight arrives at 12:30 AM they do and are holding a non smoking room for us. Total price with all fees- $43.14 Should be fine since this is just a place to stay after a late night flight. Thanks for all the great info on this site. :)

Several attempts to bid trying to get into La Mirada Holiday Inn Select. 2 1/2*. Finally got Cypress Homestead Studio Suites on 5/26 for $45 Taxes and Service Fees $12.91= $57.21 Unit was fine for our purposes. They charge $10 to change from a Queen bed to 2 doubles. We called and requested non smoking. When we arrived at the hotel they had not processed our request, however they did have one non smoking room left and they gave us that room. Guy checking in before us was charged $99 for same room. Check rates on their website as they have suitedeals. These were still $58- $63 plus tax, so we saved some bucks.
