  6. I selected my dates and based on information on this board, I bid 39 for a 3* expecting the airport Raddison. Priceline countered my offer with an offer to award me the reservation if I increased my bid to $50. I closed out of this page and added a free rebid area and bid $43. This bid was accepted. I was pleasantly surprised to receive the Airport Hilton instead of the Raddison. On the priceline website the Raddison was booking for about 120 and the Airport Hilton for 207. I am pretty happy with the outcome. Your Offer Price: $43.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $43.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $12.68 Total Charges*: $55.68 Sorry I forgot to use the Savingsbarn link. However, I used it on my rental car.
  7. Total Charges to your Credit Card: Your Offer Price: $17.00 Total Rental Days: 2 Subtotal: $34.00 Taxes & Fees: $27.98 Total Charges: $61.98 Lowest Published Price: $131.12 Total Savings:* $69.14 I tried about ten times with various classes of vehicles. I kept all bids at least 2 dollars under the hotwire price for the same car classes and finally got this vehicle. I used the savingsbarn link.
  8. Bid $55 for 2* Kappa Lihue rejected Bid $60 for 2* Kappa Lihue and added Princeville area and was rejected Bid $65 for 2* Kappa Lihue and changed the dates and was accepted Price on website for hotel is more than this price so we'll take it.
  9. My wife and I were looking for a nice place to stay in Atlanta and figured we would get this hotel if we bid 4* in the Buckhead area. My bid history was as follows: 4* Buckhead 55 ... add Atlanta West 60 Declined ... add Decatur 65 Declined ... add Jonesboro 68 Accepted This is an extremely cheap price for this hotel. Even hotwire was charging 82 per night for this same hotel. Website price is 219-499 per night for this same hotel. I used the SavingsBarn.com link to PRICELINE.
  10. My wife and I were looking for a nice place to stay in Atlanta and figured we would get this hotel if we bid 4* in the Buckhead area. My bid history was as follows: 4* Buckhead 48 ... add Atlanta West 51 Declined ... add Decatur 55 Declined ... add Jonesboro 59 Declined ... add Kennesaw 63 Declined ... add Midtown 66 Declined ... add Morrow 69 Declined ... add North Central 72 Accepted! This hotel is going on Travelocity"]Travelocity for 239 per night and on the hotel website for 229 per night. Our 72 per night after taxes and fees ended up being 172.91 for the two nights. Not too bad.
  11. Here is my bidding history: 4* Nashville Downtown -- Tried various bids ranging from 45-75 dollars with rebids and all were rejected. I then added 3* to the Nashville Downtown bid and changed my bid to 45 dollars and the first bid was accepted. I got the Holliday Inn Select West End (In downtown) at a substantial savings off the webpage. Thanks to the board for all your help.
  12. Stayed at the Sheraton City Center and Suites in St. Louis 8/12 to 8/14 at the rate of 70 a night. Very nice hotel and I had never booked thru hotline before so I will use the entertainment discount to make it 55 a night. The hotel was easy to work with (late checkout etc.) but parking is 15 per night. Very convenient to Metro which we used to get around after we were there. You can ride it to the Arch, Union Station, or even all the way to the airport if you fly in. The listed amenities are as follows: Customer Favorite Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Business Question for thereuare: If we book thru the HOTWIRE link on savingsbarn can we still get the entertainment discount? The entertainment offer says you have to purchase thru there link so that is what I did this time but I was wondering for future use if I could purchase thru savingsbarn and still be elgible?
  13. After looking at the bid history on this hotel I could have probably got a better price. However, I made the reservation the same day as check in at an internet kiosk in yosemite and I was almost out of time on the kiosk so I decided to bid high enough to make sure it wasn't rejected instead of mess around with it alot. My first bid of $95 was accepted and I bid on USE 4* only. It was a good deal on the hotel but with more time I could have got it cheaper.
  14. I will start with the positives first. The hotel was purchased for $95 on a weekend where even the smallest little ratty hotels were charging that much and more. Most of the hotels were sold out in the entire S.F. area. The service aspect of the hotel was great! They opened the doors for us every time we entered or exited, the check in was easy, the business center did not charge me when I used it, there were no additional charges added on such as resort fees, the maid service was friendly and compotent, and the entire staff tried very hard to make the whole stay a pleasant one. The room was very large complete with a two chair sitting area and a writing desk in addition to the queen bed. The bathroom was also large with a sitting area for my wife to apply makeup and a large tub and even a towell warmer. Now for the negatives. I requested a non-smoking and received a smoking, I requested a king bed and received a queen, the appliances seemed outdated, and the arrival employee seemed a little snooty when she found out we were priceline. Other than that a nice hotel and keep in mind it was a very busy weekend which probably made our requests for non-smoking etc. hard to accomodate.
  15. Bid 40 for an airport north hotel hoping for the Harvey (had family staying there who payed 70/nt) and first bid was accepted.
  16. I was hoping for a four star (Westin) so I bid 55.00, 60.00, 75.00 & 80.00 using rebids but no luck. However, I did get the 3* Marriott on my first bid of 65.00 which is a great deal compared to the rates on their website. I got this room for my parents who were amazed at all the great deals I had been getting due to this website. They were thrilled and are going to check out the site too.
  17. I saw the previous post and figured with prices that low I could afford an unplanned weekend getway. We bid 55 and got the downtown Marriott whose rates are normally between 100-150 depending on affiliations and specials. Looks like atlanta is cheap this weekend! I bid 50 prior to bidding 55 and my bid for 50 was rejected. I added on the Buckhead area since it was also close to downtown and ended up still getting a downtown hotel!
  18. I bid 85 on the USW section of town and had a screen pop up that if I added 22 more to my original bid I could bid again without changing search parameters. I got the Hotel Nikko which during my dates the cheapest internet rate is around 160. This was my first time using priceline and wouldn't have used it today had it not been for betterbidding website. I am wondering if I had another option besides adding the 22 onto my bid when that screen came up?
