  2. I see them now... 3* HOTWIRE Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek for $258 Free internet Resort Airport shuttle Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Golf nearby Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired ==> Disney's All-Star Music Resort is my best guess for this one I'll be back in about an hour or so to have a look at the 3.5 star. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  3. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and that this property works out well for your plans. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. 4. Welcome to BetterBidding! Not sure if i'm seeing the same results or not, so we can replicate your search, can you confirm if you're searching for something other than the default 1room/2adults/0children (from your screen name i'm thinking we may not be searching for the same number of rooms/adults/children)... we'll then have a closer look at each of these offers. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  5. Congratulations on your success! Glad to hear this hotel will work well for your plans and that you're happy with the outcome. Looks like a very good deal and the refrigerator in the room is a big plus (as food/drink on the Strip in Vegas has been getting expensive) Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay and good luck at the casinos.
  6. Here is a LINK to all posts on the board that include the word 'Fenton', but keep in mind that the prices you see may have little to do with what is available/needed for your own dates. Let us know the dates of your stay and we will suggest a bidding strategy for you to follow. Also, if you're able, please follow-up your previous Hotwire Mexico thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip (even if you canceled the tip, didn't use PRICELINE /HOTWIRE, booked a regular rate hotel, etc) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  7. Congratulations on your success! I think this location works out extremely well for you and glad you were able to work out the right pricing. Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your time in NYC and whichever shows you ultimately decide to see.
  8. We can't deep link directly to HOTWIRE deals (their link structure does not make it possible) Search using BiddingHelper.com and rollover the FIND MATCH from HOTEL TO LIST button to find the deal and ensure its the same property.
  9. When i click that think i get this message: If you click the link above (or the hotel details page after clicking the link in the search results) do you get the booking page... or a message similar to what i have posted? Do you see this offer a NEW PRICELINE EXPRESS search and, if so, are you able to click thru to get to the booking page?
  10. What is it that you are looking for in a hotel for this trip and what is your maximum budget? Do you have to stick with the Rittenhouse Square zone or was price the attraction to the one above? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  11. Sticking with Thur-Mon... April 2-6: I know it's not in the right area, but the reviews are too good and the price (relative to other options) to not consider: 4.5* Lower East Side - Chinatown (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $136/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet ==> Hotel 50 Bowery .... but your trip and you know how much you can/can't make the location work, i just get excited when i see such consistently good reviews 4* Madison Square Garden - Convention Area (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $165/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> Even Hotel Times Square South... a little over your budget, but you get the benefits discussed previously of the 'Even Hotel' brand but with a much better location that i think meets all of your needs (and excellent reviews) 4* HOTWIRE Midtown East for $126.21 Free internet Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Business center ==> Fifty NYC 4* HOTWIRE Times Square for $129 Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access ==> Sheraton New York... business and airline crew hotel, so a bit impersonal, but location-wise may be perfect? April 9-13: 4* HOTWIRE Times Square for $139 Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access ==> Sheraton New York (if this is an option is it worth $10/nite to be a week later in the month?) April 16-20: 4* HOTWIRE Midtown East for $144 Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Business center Internet access ==> Fifty NYC April 23-27: nothing very interesting, imo Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Thoughts on any of the above?
  12. Not necessarily... but i didn't see any 4 star hotels in this zone when searching for your dates, do you still see this listing on a current PRICELINE EXPRESS search? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  13. No problem... For this offer: 3.5* HOTWIRE Center City West - Rittenhouse Square for $82 Free internet Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Accessible for visually impaired Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility ==> Philadelphia 201 Hotel is the best guess Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  14. I assume you're actually looking at this offer from HOTWIRE (and not PRICELINE): 4* HOTWIRE Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek for $238 Resort Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Golf nearby Spa services ==> best guess for this one is Walt Disney World Dolphin Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  15. Congratulations on your success! A great deal for this 'true' 5 star property... glad you're happy with the results. Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay, and GOOD LUCK in Vegas!
  16. Please let us know the dates of your stay and we will have a look at this offer. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Thanks.
  17. Thank you for closing this thread with your decision. Remember that our Priceline Coupon currently works for 'retail rates' too so it's an easy way to save an additional 5% off. Have a great trip and fun in NYC!
  18. Typically not, you let them know at check-in that you have a separate, but continuous, reservation for an additional nite and they block the room off for you for that additional nite. You may (depending upon the hotel's reservation system) need to show-up at some point in the day on 'switch' day to have them officially check you out and then check you in again, but rarely to you need change rooms (although it's certainly possible you would need to if the hotel was nearly full and the way other guests' extended stays were working out relative to available rooms) Yeah, the few times i have tried to use Amtrak promotions it never seemed to reflect the discount, and their system is pretty archaic that it was frustrating.
  19. The Club Quarters Grand Central was for April 16-20 (i made a mistake on the dates when i posted above, i've since edited)... most of the others that are available 4/17-4/21 disappear or price goes higher... is there a specific one that you see for 4/17 arrival that you would be wanting for 4/16 arrival? We could see if it's offered for 4/17-4/20 and again for the solo nite of 4/16-4/17 (essentially giving you the dates you want but splitting it between two purchases) Which hotel(s) above seemed attractive to you at these prices?
  20. I agree that this is likely to be the Crowne Plaza: 4.5* HOTWIRE Commerce - Citadel Shopping Outlets - Bell Gardens for $96 Free parking Free internet Casino Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Spa services You could also consider this one which i also believe to be the Crowne Plaza 4.5* Commerce Casino - Cudahy - Pico Rivera (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $92/nite with: Free Parking Fitness Center Business Center Casino Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool As far as your question regarding to take one of the above or wait, unfortunately there is really no way to know, but some things to consider: -if this hotel disappears entirely how many other options do you have around this same price? (when taking into consideration the convenience of this hotel for your plans, parking fees at other hotels, etc) -given the regular rate at this hotel for your dates is $189/nite i would lean more towards taking the 50% discount and be happy with it, not trying to hold out for even more, as 50% savings is still a very nice deal (although if, as per my first point, i'd be more willing to roll the dice and hope for the best if there were multiple other hotels that could work just as well for my plans should this offer disappear entirely... but it sounds like this hotel works very well for your plans and is the one you really want/need) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.
  21. Some thoughts (difficult with some many date possibilities): APRIL 17-21 4* HOTWIRE Times Square for $130 Free internet Boutique hotel Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Accessible for visually impaired Accessible path of travel ==> Yotel Times Square (read reviews and see if you think this is your style... does give you good Theatre District access) 4* HOTWIRE Midtown East for $139 Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Business center Internet access ==> Fifty NYC 4* HOTWIRE Midtown East for $141 Free internet Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center ==> EVEN Hotels Midtown East... as i just posted in another thread, this is a little bit far east, but it's a newer hotel and a new hotel concept as well (fitness theme) APRIL 16-20 4* Grand Central Terminal - UN (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $157/nite with: Fitness Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet ==> Club Quarters Grand Central APRIL 3-7 4.5* Lower East Side - Chinatown (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $139/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet ==> Hotel 50 Bowery... i know this isn't in the location you asked, but hotel gets great reviews so figured i'd mention it just in case the reviews swayed you (i don't know much about this hotel) Let us know which above are the most interesting (or none) to give a better sense of what you're looking for and we'll then see if that's the best option or if we can do even better for other dates.
  22. Yes, but you could also include parts of Chelsea and/or Gramercy Park into this mix as well; but you should be able to reasonably identify most properties so if looking at these two other areas determine how close to a subway you will be. Using the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab of our BiddingHelper.com tool and searching for 2rooms/3adults/2children i'm seeing the following: 4* HOTWIRE Midtown East for $107 Free internet Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center ==> Even Hotel Midtown East... newer hotel (and a newer hotel fitness inspired concept too) that has been getting decent reviews. The location is a bit far East, but if anyone in the family is into fitness it may be something to consider at this price point. 4* HOTWIRE Times Square for $127 Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access ==> Sheraton New York... fairly non-descript and impersonal (as it's mostly a business hotel and airline crew) but a great location just off of Times Square 4* HOTWIRE Empire State Building - Bryant Park for $129 Free internet Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center ==> Club Quarters Midtown... nothing fancy but a solid hotel that continues to get good reviews and an excellent location 4.5* HOTWIRE Midtown East for $130 Free internet Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Golf nearby Kitchenette Accessible for visually impaired ==> San Carlos Hotel... admittedly i don't know too much about this one but gets good reviews (although a little less central than the 2 above, but more central than the EVEN Hotel) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let's start with your thoughts on any of the above and we'll take it from there.
  23. Welcome to BetterBidding! Typically anywhere in midtown that has good subway access, with 'good subway' access meaning a station (or ideally multiple stations/subway lines) within walking distance. You don't need to be directly in Times Square. Basically you would need to book 2 rooms and then call the hotel to see if they have connecting rooms and if they are willing to assign you two rooms that are connecting. Whether this is possible or not will depend upon multiple factors including the percent of connecting rooms that the hotel has, occupancy levels for your specific dates of travel, mood of the front desk clerk to be willing to put forth the effort to make the change, etc. Just to clarify, i assume this is your maximum budget for 2 rooms per nite, correct? (so $225-$250 per room per nite). I would tend to lean towards HOTWIRE for your situation since you need more than double occupancy in one of your rooms. All PRICELINE reservations, unless otherwise indicates, are for double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel... whereas HOTWIRE will allow you to search for up to quad occupancy in each room. How old are your kids? (as this will give us a better idea of how much they may be willing to walk without starting to complain... 'convenient' takes on two different meanings with a 15 year old vs. a 4 year old) I did do a quick search for your dates (searching 2 rooms/5 guests) and budget is not really going to be an issue as i'm seeing quite a few 'good' centrally located hotels that are well within budget. Lastly, how would you rank budget, convenience, and quality of hotel... would you be willing to pay more to stay at something extra special and/or more convenient OR is budget more a priority and you would rather save money and be slightly outside of being centrally located (ie- maybe a 10-15 minute walk to a subway vs. a 5-10 minute walk to the subway) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know the information above and we'll take it from there.
  24. Few questions to dig deeper into this search: 1) i know you prefer midweek dates, but are weekend dates not an option? As you point out, the weekends will almost certainly be cheaper, especially if you include a Sunday nite. For a good deal would Thur-Mon be an option? If not, what about Fri-Tues, Sat-Wed, or even Sun-Thur? (really trying to include a Sunday nite as it will usually bring your costs down quite a bit) 2) is your budget $200 all-in (including taxes/resort fees)... if not, what is your all-in number (as resort fees now play a factor in NYC) 3) not a hard and fast rule, but generally speaking you'll likely find less expensive rates in the beginning of April and more expensive near the end of the month (even better if you can in February) Let us know the information above regarding days of the week and budget and we'll take a deeper dive into this trip. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.
