  1. The Amenities closely match the Villa La Estancia Camino Viejo A San Jose Km 6, Cabo San Lucas

Hotel features: Resort, Beachfront, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, Tennis Nearby, Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service) Found this doing a package search with your dates.

Description: Enjoy a taste of paradise at a Cabo San Lucas resort on Medano Beach with a beautiful view of the shimmering Sea of Cortez, just a short walk from town for the perfect balance of convenience and serenity. Play on the beach or the turf and enjoy full access to all of the resort?s recreational activities, including shopping, a full-service spa and health club, horseback riding, kid programs, dinner shows, multiple pool activities, and restaurants.

If you view complete amenity list you will find the one you saw does have Laundry Facilities (self-service)

It would then seem to be an exact match, was this hotel a Best Value?

  2. The 2.5* is the Hawthorne Suites Amenities: Suite, Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Kitchenette per the pinned Hotwire Hotel List

for Washington D.C. Cannot indentify the 3* through the list or doing a "package search" for different dates.

It is not the Radisson or Shraton Suites (previously identified), my itguess might be Holiday Inn Select Old Town or possibly the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites.

  3. I'm looking at the Doral Forrestal Conference Center right now (at Travelocity) and it does have a 15,000-square-foot health spa.

The property has a AAA 3 diamond rating, not sure what that translates into in Hotwire stars. There is no way to absolutely identify it, not listed on the pinned Hotwire hotel list here and there was no way to identify it with a package search.

  4. I believe the South Strip hotel is the 3* Tropicana Hotel and Casino Amenities:Resort, Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business, Golf, Spa

Per the Hotwire Hotel List - Las Vegas

The North Strip is probably the Flamingo Las Vegas Amenities:Casino, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Business Center (information obtained through package search) Those are the correct dates for you? Last minute trip?

  5. If you are one of those who travel to Las Vegas on occasion, you might want to visit this website: Las Vegas Casino Death Watch

Description: This is Nick Christenson's Las Vegas Casino Death Watch page. Here they track the hotel/casinos that they feel are most likely to close their doors in the near future. It contains recent news regarding Las Vegas properties and "The List" of properties being closely watched or on their way out. I thought it pretty interesting reading since Las Vegas is one city that is constantly in flux and changing.

  6. The 4.5* appears to be a match for The Westin Harbour Castle 1 Harbour Square, Toronto, Ontario

Hotel features:Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, Tennis Nearby, Business Center

The 4* a match to the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel 123 Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario

Hotel features:Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, Business Center

This information was obtained doing a package search for those dates and both appear to be upgraded by .5* from what is posted at the Better Bidding Hotwire Hotel List - Canada

  7. I am attending a one day conference in Minneapolis at the Four Points Sheraton (Univ-Metrodome) on 9/22 and decided to drive up and stay nearby the night before. My first choice (of course) was to try and get a room at the Four Points, which I've stayed at before (and always got a good rate) Started bidding at $30 in the Univ-Metrodome zone (rejected) and added the free re-bid zones (3) one by one up to $35 all rejected. I then checked the Starwood website and rooms for the Four Points were available, but at a rate of $189! So either there wasn't any Priceline rates available or those rates were much higher than I would care to pay.

I then decided to start over and go with the Mpls NW zone (less than ten miles from the Four Points) and try to get the Crowne Plaza, which I've also stayed at before. Bid as before this time starting at $32 and bidding in $2 increments I had the Crowne Plaza for $36 on the second free rebid. Direct rate from ICH was $109 prepaid, so not a bad deal at 66% off! I just can't sleep in as late now, but that's okay. :)

Your Offer Price: $36.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1

    Subtotal: $36.00 Taxes & Service Fees:$11.58 Total Charges: $47.58

  8. We stayed there on 9/3, checkin easy no mention of Priceline. Room was non smoking with two beds as requested (7th floor), not bad but seemed to be showing a little wear (carpets etc) We used the pool, but it had a bit too much chlorine in it, so we didn't stay in too long. We checked in after 7 p.m. on a Saturday, not much open in the Skyway system. We didn't eat at all here, can't really comment on the restaurant.

Not much to add to previous post, hotel now has free high speed wireless access throughout the hotel (used it) and it worked fine. We paid $9 for overnight parking in City Center ramp, it is $14 during the week, had no problem with this. Overall it was fine for a one night stay at $37, would probably stay again for similar rate.

  9. If that is the hotel that you really desire, another option is Hotwire, if the Clinton Hotel & Spa can be identified before purchase. Doing a package search will reveal name of hotel (did search for your dates) the 4*Clinton did appear with these amenities: Boutique Hotel, Near Beach, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, High-Speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Business Center

Doing a hotel search for your dates revealed no exact matches for a hotel with the above amenities, although a 4* at $105 had everything except the Internet. So is it the Clinton? Hard to be 100% on that, but in looking at other dates and other 4* properties, this seems to be the closest match to the Clinton.

  10. How many rooms were you planning to get? Do you have a limit to be spent for each room? With Priceline you have less flexibility in regards to the number of people in each room (they guarantee double occupancy only), while Hotwire rates will be somewhat higher. With Hotwire you might be able to indentify the hotel they give you a rate for, where Priceline you are bidding for a hotel in a certain area and a certain star level. Generally speaking you should be able to get around using the public transportation, so I don't think that will be a problem for you. The Loop area may run you $180 to $200 a night for a 3.5* or 4* assuming three rooms for ten people, all adults I assume?

  11. Doing a package search has indentified the second one as Castle Kaha Lani 4460 Mehe Road, Lihue, Kauai, Hotel features: Beachfront, 1 Bedroom Suite, Fully-equipped Kitchen, Kitchenette, Pool(s), Daily Housekeeping, Free Parking, Front Desk, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Laundry Facilities (self-service) Description: In Hawaiian, Kaha Lani means "heavenly place." This secluded beachfront condominium resort is a charming, tranquil retreat, located on a seemingly "endless" uncrowded white sand beach. All families with children 12 and younger will receive an ASTON Hawaii Kids Stay, Play and Eat Free identification card at check in. Present the ID card at participating attractions and restaurants to receive free promotional offers.

Doing a package search also indentified the first one as the Radisson Kauai Beach Resort

Hotel features:Resort, Beachfront, Airport Shuttle, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Business Center

Check out reviews for each property:

    Radisson Kauai Beach Resort Review

    Castle Kaha Lani Review

  12. The North Strip hotel is a match for: 4* Treasure Island

Customer Favorite Amenities: Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center, Golf, Spa

The South Strip hotel is a match for: 4* Luxor

Amenities: Resort, Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Spa, Golf, Tennis, Business

With such a long stay had you considered splitting your bid? This may reduce the cost since you would be paying less for the weekday nights. As far as a 5* goes (such as the Venetian) how many nights were you thinking? There doesn't seem to be availability for any of your nights at this moment, although it appears to be available with a package deal.
