  1. Bidded $55 based on the info here. I knew I would be getting either Red Lion or Coast Bellevue. Would prefer the Red Lion (because of on-site Hertz location) but the Coast Bellevue is good as well. Used the PRICELINE link here =)
  2. Used the link to get this great deal. Got it on first bid. Maybe should have tried $55 first :P
  3. I'm trying to book on Hotwire for 12/3 to 12/6 in Berkeley, CA, and would appreciate if someone could help me ID the two hotels below. The 3*: $86, "Our Pick", 75% positive review Amenities: Fitness, Pool, Business Center I suppose this could either be Four Ponits or Summerfield Suites Emeryville? The 2*: $66, Still gathering review Amenities: Smoke-free, Breakfast, Highspeed Internet Always use the links here to start my search =)
  4. The Harbor Court staff is very helpful when I contacted them regarding room size and bed type. Although the rooms they reserve for Hotwire are the smaller ones, they put us on a upgrade list to a king size room. They also said if I'm not satisfied with the bed type, they can help me cancel my reservation with Hotwire. Looking forward to a nice stay at their hotel :)
  5. Thank you for the info. The Embassy Suite is a bit too far (maybe not by California standard) and the reviews don't seem so good. I ended up bidding $50 using the PRICELINE link, and got Courtyard by Marriot. It's not my first choice (was hoping for Garden Inn or Crown Plaza), but it's ok given the price. Thanks!
  6. Could someone help me ID this hotel in San Jose (Milpitas)? 10/15 - 10/18 3* $59 Complimentary breakfast, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, high-speed internet Recommended by 75% 4* $73 Smoke-free, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, high-speed internet Recommended by 95% I suspect the 3* is Hilton Garden Inn, but there's no exact match on the hotel list. The 4* seems to be Sheraton on the hotel list. Also, could anyone recommend which one should I stay? I really liked to beds Sheraton offers, but the proximity to an In-n-Out of the Hilton Garden Inn is a big plus to me :) Thanks!
  7. Boutique, Fitness, Restaurant, High Speed Internet (the same as reported on the forum). This rate ($123 all-in) seems a bit higher comparing to other previous bookings, but given the difficulty to get a room in downtown SF... Does anyone know if there's a chance to get a king-sized bed instead of a queen-sized one? Thanks. Booked it through the HOTWIRE link on the forum.
  8. Thanks for the suggestion. I actually see Cova on Hotwire but the reviews about its location on Trip Advisor is kinda scary. I haven't been to SF for a long time though, not sure how Tenderloin compares with the Bronx. I might consider Metropolis Hotel thought. It seems to be in a (slightly) nicer area and is available on LMT for about $100.
  9. I raised my bid to $100 for a 3* in Embarcadero, SOMA, USW, USE, but still no luck.
  10. Yes. That would be the plan. Please let me know if you would do otherwise :)
  11. I'm currently trying to get a 3* up to $95 and 3.5*/4* up to $125 in Embarcadero, SOMA, USW, USE, and 3* up to $85 in Berkeley-Emeryville. If I can't get any of those in another week, I would start trying for a 3* (or better) up to $70 in SFO Airport-Burlingame. Thanks.
  12. Sorry for the confusion. I started bidding 4* in downtown SF for $85 (bid amount) a few days ago, and bidding my way up to $125 (adding $5 at a time), without any luck. Since 4* and 3.5* aren't much different to me, I added 3.5* in my last $125 bid, and still got rejected. I also tried bidding up to $95 for 3* in Embarcadero/SOMA (trying to get the Harbor Court), but got rejected. According the Harbor Court's website, they're sold out on 10/9. I'm kinda reluctent to try bidding for 3* in USW/USE, seems some of the 3* hotels in the Priceline hotel list are not as well reviewed and/or not in a good location. But I would love to be proven wrong. I would say my budget would be $125 for 3.5*/4* and $95 for 3* in downtown SF. I'm also looking for a 3* in Emeryville/Berkeley (since the only 4* is The Claremont Resort, which is too far for me) for perhaps $85 or $90. If these all fail, I'm considering staying in a 3* around SFO or OAK for perhaps $70. Hope that clears things up. Thanks!
  13. I have to split because I'll have two short trips to Napa and San Jose during my stay in SF, and I wouldn't mind staying in different hotels :) I ended up getting The Clift from LMT for $123 (pre-tax) on 10/18-10/20. It seems to be the best deal (bid $120 on priceline and got nothing). But still looking for a priceline hotel for 10/9-10/11.
  14. I'm trying to bid for a 3*+ hotel in downtown SF (Embarcadero, SOMA, USW, USE) on 10/9 to 10/11. My budget is $145 (including tax/fee) for 4*, $125 for 3.5* and $110 for a 3*. I bid up to $125 (which makes about $145 after tax/fee) for 3.5*+ on priceline but got nothing. Also didn't have anything for 3.5* plus on hotwire and LMT (Hyatt Regency is On Request, but turned out Sold Out). It seems 10/9 is a very busy night. I also wouldn't mind staying in Emeryville/Berkley up to $100 for a 3*. And I'm actually considering staying near SFO and take BART to the city :) Any suggstions? Thanks!
  15. I was trying to book 10/10-10/12, and got two hotels in Berkeley-Emeryville: $94, 3.5* Boutique, Non-smoking, restaurant, business center, high-speed internet $79, 3* Fitness, pool, business center, laundry, high-speed internet Would be appreciate if someone can help ID them for me. Thanks!
  16. I've been trying to bid for 3.5*+ downtown SF from 10/9-10/20 without any luck. Thought of bidding seperately (I don't mind changing hotels), but also no luck on 10/9-10/13 and 10/18-10/20. I bid up to $110. Followed the info on the board and bid $105 for 10/13-10/15 and got the Marriot Marquit. Could anyone share some suggestion for the rest? My range would be 3*, up to $125 (include tax/fee) for downtown SF, and $100 for Emeryville/Berkeley. It seems to be a super high season in SF now. Any idea is appreacited. Used the PRICELINE link on the board :)
  17. Offered $80 and got rejected. Followed the price on this board and bid $90 ($110 with tax/service) and got accepted.
