  1. The entire city of Chicago was basically sold out that night (7/17), so there were not many bargains to be found. To avoid staying at an airport hotel we were lucky enough to find a cancellation at the Talbot hotel in Chicago, but we had to pay a high price ($360 plus tax and fees). But the hotel is really nice and the location was great for our plans that day and evening.
  2. I was looking for a hotel in the Napa area for two nights (9/19 & 9/20). HOTWIRE lists a 4 star hotel in the Calistoga - St. Helena region for 326 per night. On your hotel list you have no hotels above 2.5 stars listed in this area. Do you have any idea what this hotel might be?
  3. We are flying in from out of town. We are staying in the city tomorrow and Friday, but are currently homeless for saturday (the 17th) night. We currently dont have car access, but if we had to stay in an area outside the city i would consider renting a car. What area's might you recommend? We've never been to Chicago before.
  4. I noticed that on priceline chicago there is a section for lincoln park, but on the priceline hotel list for this form there are no hotels listed for lincoln park? I am struggling to find a room anywhere in downtown chicago area for this Saturday night (6/17). I have tried River North, and the loop up to 200 bid on priceline a night with no luck. What's the story with Lincoln park? Is that a decent area and what kind of hotels might i find there?
  5. I decided to check the box's for both north and south. I started bidding at 40 and rebid all the way up to 60. I won the Westin O'HARE for 60. The total after taxes was 76
  6. I was unable to win an auction on priceline for new years eve in the downtown philadelphia area. I settled for a deal on Travelocity for 150 a night for the crown plaza on 18th and market.
  7. I'm staying in Chicago 4 nights later this week. I plan on spending three nights in the downtown area, and then on my last night I want to stay at a hotel near O'Hare because I have a 6am flight out of O'Hare. I noticed O'Hare has two zones and was wondering which one is better. I've never been to Chicago before so I don't have any familiarity with the airport, and was wondering if one made more sense then the other.
  8. what kind of bid do you think it will take to get a 4 star hotel in philly downtown for new years eve? i'm in charge of getting 1 or 2 rooms for several people and i need to present them with a general idea of cost before i can get approval from them to make bids. Also does anyone have a list of pricelines 4 star hotels in philadelphia downtown area? Also i noticed that for Philadelphia on priceline the "best deal" icon was next to the 3.5 star hotels?? Any advice on 3.5 vs 4 in Philadelphia? Thanks!!! And happy new year!!
