  1. Selected Scranton North, bid $50 failed Then selected both Scranton North + Scranton South bid $53 success
  2. I started bid yesterday for 4* on jersey city until $105 when they asked me to raise to $115. I refused and started bidding today at $90 which was accepted on first try! Very mad. I figure the price differential btw HOTWIRE and PRICELINE on this property is around $147- $115 = $32. HOTWIRE price is at $113 which means even $80 right now is a realistic bid. I used your PRICELINE links this time.
  3. Started at $38, bid up to $42 before they asked me to raise to $52. Rejected their offer. My final bid was $45 for 3* at Valley Forge, Plymouth and Pottstown and got DT at plymouth instead of scanticon conference center at valley forge. If you want to bid at $35 you'll have to wait until a few days in advance which is rather risky.
  4. got omni royal bid: $100 I was frustrated and looked at the HOTWIRE price for a 4star which is $112. I thought its a crapshot. Would have preferred hyatt because it closest to dejardin complex but $100 sounds reasonable, though not a great deal. time of bid: 2.05pm Didnt know how to edit my post (cant find the function) so op please do your job I clicked the HOTWIRE links and PRICELINE links here. 2 rooms
  5. 2 rooms 3.5* amenities: fitness center, business center, laundry downtown montreal I hope its the holiday inn select but thats got ALOT of amenities.
  6. used PRICELINE link to bid for montreal downtown bid $63, $68, $75, $85 for 4* bid $63, $68, $75 for 3.5* all failed. are there any big events in montreal this week?
  7. My friend is staying at W New York (lexington ave) so I'd like to stay somewhere close of course, minus the ridiculous prices offered. W hotel is sold out anyway. I tried bidding 4* MTE from $120 until $180 in $10 increments. ALL failed. Did not tried 3.5* once for $110 and failed. Is there any mega event this Saturday? I find that HOTWIRE works best during last minute reservations but it looks like all the rooms are gone for some reason. Price now is even pricier than last year's shopping season.
  8. First try at $45 success In: April 30 Out: May 1 101 hotel plaza, north east, md 21901
  9. 1st try $48 fail Asked me to raise $14 which I declined 2nd try $50 - success In: May 2nd Out: May 3rd Quite disappointed as I was gunning for somewhere closer to the airport. Is there a way to bid the hotels directly around the airport? I also find the parking to be expensive at $21. Are there any good suggestions where I can park the car more cheaply?
  10. must be the gild hall. The amenities match either of them but at 85% rating I think gild hall is the match. I booked this hotel last month on hotwire and it says tripadvisor rating 4.5/5. Soho grand was only 3.5/5 so it only carries a 70% rating. Depending on what you are doing in downtown, GILD HALL is a great boutique hotel because its nearest station has all colored routes, ensuring easy access to wherever you want to go without transfers. Hope that helps
  11. 4 star times square thearte district 95% recommendation fitness center, restaurant, business center, high speed internet, spa 4 stars MTC 75% recommendation smoke free, fitness center, restaurant, business center, high speed internet thanks in advance
  12. Im arriving nyc on 23rd oct 6pm, staying at the time hotel at times square. My friend suggest we visit the modern art museum since friday is free (yet to confirm). What should we do after MOMA close at 8pm? I was thinking about empire state building around 11.30pm so what should we do btw 9pm-11pm? On sat, We plan to go central park, 5th ave, metropolitan art musem, natural history museum, UN building and thats about it. We will then move to gild hall in downtown NYC and wake up sunday morning to tour WTC memorial site. How can I improve on this trip? Is there something important that I've missed? Its a sightseeing trip and not a shopping trip. How many days of new york pass should i get? Thank You in advance for kind advice.
  13. dewey, I got rooms on 23rd-24th oct 3.5* at times square from HOTWIRE $209 which is the time hotel. I think it isnt too bad if you can tour the northern part of nyc on the first day and find another hotel on 24th in downtown nyc to tour WTC memorial site next day. Just my 2 cents. i also got gild hall 4* from HOTWIRE on 24th. good luck on your bids. From my experience HOTWIRE is much better than PRICELINE when hotel inventories are low. Staying in different hotels on different days also give you more price advantage and its probably a short distance away (how big can nyc be anyway??)
  14. GILD HALL IT IS!!!!!!!!!!! YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I saw that gild hall was rated higher than soho grand on trip advisor and figured out theres a better chance of that.
  15. OCT 24th-25th 4* downtown soho $229 fitness center, restaurant, business center, high speed internet tripadvisor 4.5/5 What are the likely Id for this hotel? :)
  16. Hotel Amenity include Fitness, Business Center, high speed internet, restaurants I used BB's HOTWIRE links and its "the time hotel" Cheers :)
  17. Bid up to $175 and used up all the rebid zones. Still rejected. For Hyatt Hudson, oct24 regular price is more expensive than oct22 and for some reason someone managed to get it for $127 on oct22 in PRICELINE. whats going on here....
  18. I've given up on bidding for good hotels for oct 23rd - 25th. Anyone here has good experience with some of the hostels? They seem to be in good locations in Mid Town West like 1291, jazz on times square, big apple hostel but Im not sure what I should watch out for. Any advice is appreciated.
  19. if you mess up because of too many bids it will say this: We were not able to process this request since our records indicate you have already made a request for this same trip. Your credit card has not been charged for Request Number ###-###-###-##. Other than that its because our price was too low. Hope that helps.
  20. $235 rejected for TS 4* and $236 rejected for MTW 4*. $233 rejected for MTE 4*.
