  1. Just a (late) follow-up that my brother ended up booking direct with a resort.
  2. Started at $35 and added free rebid zones in $5 increments - success finally at $50. I had previously been successful with Holiday Inn at $35 and $40 but I am guessing the longer stay over the weekend might have been the reason for the higher price. However, the higher price and better hotel (Radisson) sounds like still a good deal. :) Room Subtotal: $200.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $40.80 (USD) Total Charged to Card: $240.80 (USD) I used this site's PRICELINE link.
  3. Thanks - didn't realize it was in CAD not USD. However, I don't seem to see a drop-down for country? Sorry, the hotel is still there so if you could please take a look? Amenities are as per the above and it is showing up as $129USD. Actually, is it Hotel Zoso? Thank you!
  4. Done - sorry, this is for my brother so I never followed up with him last year. Please help again (and I will be sure to post what happens - however, not finding the same hotel again it seems).
  5. Sorry I never posted back - this was actually for my brother and his friend so I didn't follow up with them. However, I did forward them this site's link and my brother recalls using the link. they have the Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa for $182.57 x 4 nights plus taxes of $113.50 = $843.76 (Mar 11-15)
  6. Hi! I used this site's HOTWIRE link. Looking for Palm Springs 3/10/13-3/14-13 - would like to get Rancho Las Palmas but couldn't find it based on the hotel list on this site. I found one option - would you know which hotel this is with the following amenities: Free parking Free internet Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible bathroom Accessible path of travel Handicapped parking In-room accessibility Roll-in shower Thank you!
  7. Booked through this site's PRICELINE link and posted my winning hotel bid as well. ;)
  8. I used this site's PRICELINE link to book and am happy with the price and proximity to WDW!
  9. Thanks for the response - I want to pick up from the port on Dec 6 after the cruise and then drop off at the airport on Dec 9. Any suggestions?
  10. Hi there, I will be going on a cruise departing at Port Canaveral before needing the car rental in Orlando. Do you know if the pick up location should be Cape Canaveral (Port Canaveral is not a recognized option)? Also, what would you suggest as a starting bid for a compact - 12/06/12 to 12/09/12? I used this site's links to start my search. Thanks!
  11. I clicked on this site's PRICELINE link. I am looking for a hotel for 3/10/12-3/15/12 in Palm Springs, in the downtown area or Cathedral City. I have tried up to $160 for resorts and $110 for 3 star hotels with no results. Would anyone be able to help me with what would be a reasonable price? Thanks very much!
  12. Sorry, didn't realize the dates got cut off. The dates of our stay were June 29/11 to July 4/11. We've stayed at this hotel for 3 years in a row now and are happy with the price and quality.
  13. The hotel was not bad at all, especially for the price! No smoke odour and bathroom was okay but just that the water didn't drain quickly from the tub. It was also a long walk to our room, especially with kids and the fact that they gave us access cards that didn't work! However, I was happy with the price - will start lower next time!
  14. I thought I would be getting the Radisson...got accepted at Holiday Inn on my first bid. Hopefully it's decent (read some bad reviews about smoke odour and bad bathrooms). Room Subtotal: $40.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $13.94 (USD) Total Room Cost: $53.94 (USD) I used this site's PRICELINE link.
  15. Doing our annual trip to Sesame Place...I started off bidding at $38 and used 5 rebid zones and ended up at $50. Unfortunately, I couldn't use this site's PRICELINE link in conjunction with the $5 off deal that Priceline was offering. My actual cost was $45 per night. Room Subtotal: $180.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $39.64 (USD) Total Room Cost: $219.64 (USD) I did use this site's PRICELINE link for our stopover in Rochester!
  16. 3.5* Palm Springs Desert Doral Princess $85 ... 3/15/11-3/16/11 Taxes & Service Fees: $19.10 Amenities: Resort Airport Shuttle Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Tennis Spa Services This was listed at $83 - we paid $2 extra for bed choice of 2 double beds. I used the HOTWIRE link in this forum.
  17. 4* West Hollywood Hyatt Regency Century Plaza $130 ... 3/16/11-3/18/11 Bid over 2 days 1st day: Bid up to $125 in West Hollywood with 3 free re-bids (includes bonus $5 from 48-hour email sale) 2nd day: Bid up to $130 in West Hollywood with 3 free re-bids, accepted at Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Taxes & Service Fees: $47.14 I guess that is the price for this region for a 4*? Plus I didn't get the bonus $5 the 2nd day. However, content with the hotel! I used the PRICELINE link in this forum.
  18. 1st bid: 3* $50 University zone rejected but counter-offered to accept at $63 I have never been counter-offered so I wasn't sure what to do...as I am booking for tonight, I figured I might as well accept. Is this usually the right thing to do? Anyways, when I accepted, they upgraded me to a 3.5*. Room Cost: $63 Taxes & Fees: $16.08 Total Room Cost: $79.08 I found the zones to be confusing as I don't know Syracuse - I didn't realize University zone was the downtown zone too. I used this site's PRICELINE link.
  19. 1st bid: $40 Langhorne (Sesame Place) 2nd bid: $40 added Princeton West I was surprised to get accepted at $40 - forgot to check the NJ posts instead of just the PA posts! Plus paid $51/night last year at the end of June. Room Cost (3 nights): $120 Taxes & Fees: $26.55 Total Room Cost: $146.55 Used the PRICELINE link from this forum's home page.
  20. Hi! I'm not sure if I should be posting my successful bid with my original request for assistance or if I should start a new topic as I can't change the header in my original post - maybe the administrator can do this for me (please!)? Here are the details: 4* NYC (MTW) City Club Hotel $155 ... 9/4/09-9/7/09 Bid over 5 days 1st day: Bid up to $120 in TS/MTW with free re-bids 2nd day: Bid up to $130 in TS/MTW with free re-bids 3rd day: Bid up to $140 in TS/MTW with free re-bids 4th day: Bid up to $151 in TS/MTW with free re-bids 5th day: Bid $150 in TS/MTW, rejected, rebid $155 and accepted at City Club Hotel Taxes & Service Fees: $95.76 I had never heard of this hotel before so I looked up reviews and am now very nervous. Although there are some good reviews, it seems that those booking through hotwire/priceline are often put in the petite rooms. If that happens, I think we are going to have to get a second room because there will be 2 well-built tennis players staying in this room. Can a petite room with just one full bed really sleep 2 (it does say that it's based on double occupancy)? I did read that some lucky folks got upgraded so I hope when I call tomorrow that we will be one of them. Any thoughts?
  21. Thanks for another reply! I guess we are thinking of the original listed areas for convenience (i.e., closer to the things we want to do). Do you think the price difference would be worth expanding our intended zone? We are considering 3.5 star now to see if we can save $30-$40 a night. Are the 4 star hotels considerably better in NYC? P.S. We have been using the suggested links!
  22. Thanks for the quick reply! We have done 2 days of bidding with no luck. So far, we bid up to $130 for four star hotels in the above-mentioned regions (based on some of the winning bids we saw through the forum, although we did notice that these were successful bids from a few months ago). We are also considering 3.5 star hotels now due to our unsuccessful bidding We don't really have a set budget but are hoping not to spend more than $150 per night. We just don't want to spend more than we have to!
