  1. Got an awesome deal for the Courtyard in downtown Edmonton. Edmonton - 4* -> $50 -> REJECTED Edmonton - 3.5* -> $55 ->REJECTED Edmonton - 3* -> $60 -> REJECTED Edmonton + Stony Plain -> $65 -> ACCEPTED The hotel regular room rate is $151-$189/night, so this is a fantastic deal :)
  2. It took me a few tries to finally get the price I wanted but this is the exact bid process. Midtown East 108 Coney Island 111 Long Island City 114 Times Sqaure 117 Midtown West 120 Central Park South 123 Chelsea 126 Hell's Kitchen 129 Madison Square 132 Empire State 135 The stay is for Aug-3 - Aug-6 at the Intercontinental The Barclay. I'm pretty happy with the purchase, everywhere else had the cost at $180/night, so a 25% savings is nice. Of course I used the link as well :)
  3. Here are the details for my booking: 3* Magnificent Mile for 8/24/11 - 8/27/11 $79 per night Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Hotel: Four Points by Sheraton Chicago Downtown I'm quite happy with the location and the price. I tried using Priceline however I couldn't quite get the price I wanted. And of course I used the HOTWIRE link :) Thanks again for everyone's hard work in maintaining the forum and community and helping us get fantastic prices on hotels :)
  4. Won the Palazzo after a few unsuccessful bids. Very happy with the win, and of course I used the link :) PRICELINE
  5. Believe it or not, I started at $55, after 5 credit cards, moved my bid up to $90/night and finally won it! Originally I was thinking I'd get the Hyatt, since I got it last year for about $69, but I'm very happy with the Marriott as it is much closer to the venue. Thanks!
  6. The Pittsburgh Marriott City Centre is located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, extremely close and convenient (walk distance) to restaurants, bars, clubs and attractions. It was quite easy to find and check in was a breeze. They offer 2 parking rates, hourly (up to $16.25 for 24 hrs) or valet ($24) if you have to go in and out. We found the hourly rate suited us best since we would go in and out 1-2 times and walk around most of the times. The front desk is extremely polite, although the front lobby had several drunk people, since there was a bar inside the hotel on the first floor. Not much of a deal, but surprising. The room was extremely large. We got a 1 king size bdrm along with a side day bed/couch and a pull out bed/couch as well. It was more than enough space for the 4 of us. The TV's weren't the greatest, and old 26" CRT but we weren't there to watch TV anyways. The front desk concierge was extremely polite and provided us a lot of help finding certain places in the city as well as giving us cards with driving information and what to look out for. The gym was quite nice for a 3.5* hotel. Their weight rooms were good and their treadmills all had built in TVs. There was a sauna/steam room as well, along with a weight scale and height measurement tool. Overall the experience there was very good. I would definitely go back especially at the amazing priceline price! Hope this helps. Cheers, Matt
  7. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $55.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Room Subtotal: $55.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $32.35 (USD) Total Room Cost: $197.35 (USD) 1. $50, 4* Downtown 2. $50, 4* Downtown + 3.5* 3. $50, 4* Downtown + 3.5* + South Side 4. $55, 4* Downtown + 3.5* + South Side + North Valley (won) This is my first time using Priceline, but I found this site extremely useful in obtaining an amazing price on a hotel! The Marriott website charges $179 USD / night, so 3 nights at $197 taxes in is a stellar deal! Of course I used the Used the PRICELINE link. This forum rocks! Keep up the good work!
