  1. Interesting thing about Goldpassport is that you can still get the stay credit if you charde qualified items to your room (like a drink at the bar). Philly
  2. I stay at the Hyatt Penns Landing 2-4 nights a week. I am staying there tonight. I know that they have a convention there over this weekend and will have no rooms available. I personally am going over to the Sheraton Society Hill (my company has a deal). Good luck but I don't think they have any more Priceline rooms. Incidentally, the Hyatt Penns Landing, while being a beautiful hotel and a great value, is in great financial trouble. They are frequently below 50% capacity and try to charge a $25 surcharge to Priceline bidders for waterview rooms. If you wish to stay at this hotel using Priceline, bid 1 week in advance and bid $43. For reservations this week try bidding in the $60 range as I have had some success with that. Good Luck. Philly PS I will be there tonight.
  3. $42 wont get you anything here. Sorry for not adding that to the post. Oh if you see me in the bar I usually wear a blue nike baseball cap. Philly
  4. If you don't mind staying cut off at the water here is the best way to get into Philly's newest hotel at $43/night on Priceline. You should do this at LEAST a week in advance of your arrival date. 1) Check Hyatt's website for availabilty on the nights you wish to stay at the hotel. If the rates are below 160/night for a regular room you will likely have a shot on Priceline. 2) Go to Priceline and bid $43. If Priceline has it AT ALL you will get your room. I travel to Philly weekly for business and have gotten a room dozen's of times using this method. TIP: You can also get Hyatt GoldPassport reward stays and nights credit if you use the hotels internet access (9.99) or get room service (parking and sundries will not get you anywhere). I have made Diamond status doing this.
  5. This hotel is for you if you like OLD money. The staff is annoyingly helpful and the rooms are large with high ceiling heights in this adatation of an historic building into a hotel. It is a top notch hotel that has gotten somewhat dated. Wireless internet is available for $10. Self-Parking is $16. A bargain if you can get it for less than $120.
  6. If you wish to rebid a Priceline hotel room you may change the date to some other date in the future while lowering the price to an impossible number. You then will be free to rebid on that trip on the original day. :)
