I am not sure about the hotel yet but I need/want to be at the airport this particular night and this is a good rate compared to the rates I am finding on the hotel web sites. I used the PRICELINE link.

That definitely puts a kink in a persons plans if they want to actually be on the river. This property is brand new and very nice and the Sathorn area is very nice as well but if you wanted to be on the river this is not it for sure. You got a good price but not fantastic as I think they are having trouble selling it as it is new and the economy is down.

I am in the exact position. I want to avoid the Trump. The primary reason I want to avoid the Trump is that it just doesn't have the facilities of other 5* places such as the Wynn or Venetian such as gambling and dining. As far as the resort fee mentioned, I didn't know the Trump even had one and I do hate that it is not a part of the price on PRICELINE.

That hotel is not the best option but as long as you get a refurbished room you will be fine for an overnight.....especially at that rate. I would say that is a great rate for a weekday. There absolute cheapest rates are 49GBP on the weekends and during the week it is much more than that so that is a great rate even if it is not the absolute best hotel. It is fine, just not great.
