  1. All, Thanks for your help on this one, however in the end we have decided to book Bills GH direct, it has good reviews on TA and it is a bargain price for a central strip location. In the end we just didn't want to risk PL and all the others on Hotwire were too expensive/we didn't fancy after reading review etc. None the less should we book anything in the future through PRICELINE or HOTWIRE I will use the links on this site.
  2. Thanks Yellow Dog, appreciate the help. :) Anyone got any views on TI at this price, what's it like and would you stay here over PH or would you pay a bit more to get a 5* like venetian or Wynn (but not trump)? Sorry for all the questions, however it is fast approaching and my wife and I have never been to the US before so we want to get it right and really enjoy our time wihtout worrying about what our hotels are ging to be like!!! Also I have just searched direct with TI and there are only 2 rooms coming up as available direct as follows: Petit Suite @ $179 pn subtotal $895 Tower Suite @ $220 pn subtotal $1100 Does this mean that you would get a Petit Suite or is it more likly that you will get bumped to a deluxe room and a full paying deluxe room guest would get comped to a Petit Suite or could it be that they are double booking to cover for a big booking incase it pulls out??
  3. Hi Yellowdog, Thanks for the reply, you are correct in that the one I originally saw has been replaced with a different hotel with the following amenities: Casino Fitness Centre Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Centre Golf Nearby Spa Services This one is slightly cheaper than the previous one I saw @ $119 per night. Would you know which one this is and also hazard a guess as to what the last one might of been incase it comes up again based on the amenities I listed?? Thanks for you assistance. :)
  4. I'm not 100% on what protocol for posting is. I think as long as destination is same you can post as many in the same topic and then when you eventually book one of the mods/admins will amend the title to the one you booked with the dates and price etc. I would just keep posting in here until you get told otherwise.
  5. Looking at the amenities of this one they seem to match an earlier booking at here : http://www.betterbidding.com/index.php?showtopic=65026&, which would indicate the MGM Grand.
  6. Hi, Can anyone help me ID the $129 a night 4* hotel on Hotwire from 4/15-4/20 in Cental Strip with following amenities: Casino Fitness Centre Pool(s) Restaurant Business Centre High Speed Internet Spas Services. Could this be Planet Hollywood? there are no trip advisor results for this one so hard to tell.
  7. Apologies I am unable to edit the original post, however I have limited the amenities to just the headings. Resort Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services

  9. Hi, Thanks for the info so far. Our current itinerary is: San Francisco - 4/9-4/11 Los Angeles - 4/12-4/13 Las Vegas - 4/14-4/18 - We need to be in Vegas for the 4/18 as we are going to see Ray Romano & Kevin James at the Mirage that night Washington - 4/19-4/22 Then we are currently trying to work out best itinerary for the dates of 4/23-4/29 - We were planning to take in Niagra Falls, Boston and NYC (we are flying back from JFK on 4/30) however we haven't yet decided the order to do these in. I would love to hear what you think about the above and any little towns that we could take a night in near to these locations. We are planning on flying between all the destinations above, however I'm not against hiring a car to driver between some locations if reasonable.
  10. Hi dahammer, Thanks for the welcome and assistance. It is our first trip to the US, so I am not 100% sure about any of the hotels. I have been canvassing friend's opinions who have been to vegas on what the felt were the better hotels. In terms of the risk, I am happy to chance my arm going through Priceline to try and keep the cost down as we are in the US for 21 nights in total, from what you are saying it looks like I need to be bidding for 4* as a minimum to get anything near these hotels Wynn Vs Trump - I think the general concensus is to avoid the Trump both from feedback on here and on tripadvisor, is there anyway to achieve this at all i.e. not bidding too low? PH Vs Westin - I'm not sure on this one, I have stayed in Westin before and know the beds are to die for, very comfy. However I would be happy to take a steer on your thoughts on this one. At the end of the day my wife and I are going for the whole experience, not just the hotel, so all we need is a clean room, with courteous staff, however we would like to be on strip but are not averse to a short walk either.
  11. Hi, We will be in Vegas for 5 nights 4/14-4/18 inclusive. Our budget is $80-$100 per night. I've been told that the following hotels are the nicer ones; Bellagio, Venetian, Wynn, Caesars or Planet Hollywood. However I am happy to take guidance for peeps on here who have stayed in vegas. Also I have no idea if my budget is realistic to secure any of the above hotels for when we are going. I would really appreciate any help you can provide in suggesting a bidding strategy and the best time to start looking. Cheers Roaderunner
  12. Hi, We will be in San Francisco between 4/9-4/11 inclusive. Our budget is $50-$80 per night. I have no idea where is the best place to try to stay for this budget, but am open to suggestions. I would really appreciate any help you can provide in suggesting a bidding strategy and the best time to start looking. Cheers Roaderunner
  13. Hi, My wife and I have just booked our tickets to the US for April. I will probably be posting a similar request a few times as we are hitting several places in the US over a 3 week break, however I thought I would start with NYC. We can be in NYC any 4 nights between 4/23-4/29 inclusive. Our budget is $100-$150 per night. I am not sure if this is reasonable or not?? We are looking to take in all the tourist spots etc and would really love to stay in Times Square if possible. I would really appreciate any help you can provide in suggesting a bidding strategy and the best time to start looking. Cheers Roaderunner
