  1. It is being worked on, but not yet available. Rooms are hardwired. If you want to work while relaxing on the bed you'll need a 6 to 8 foot network cable.
  2. Just what I expected when I bid $42 for that area. Not the greatest hotel, but the price cannot be beat in this area. It may sound ridiculous, but I like that they provide both the USA Today and the local paper on a daily basis to all guests.
  3. Started out with MoA/Airport at 42 for a 2.5* shooting for the Bloomington Holiday Inn. Denied. Denied at 45 after adding Burnsville Denied at 50 after adding Minneapoolis SW Denied at 55 after adding DT Minneapolis Accepted at 60 after adding Eagan Bad time to bid I guess. Hotel is a typical Holiday Inn. Ok restaurant downstairs. NO WIRELESS. TV has horrible reception, and up on the 5th floor my water pressure takes a dive during peak times. Elevators are suprisingly efficient though.
  4. Forgot to add that they charge for local calls. All things considered, I'd almost rather stay at the Holiday Inn at the 42 a night.
  5. PROS: New. HDTV's, but they are tube tv's as opposed to flat. My room had two beds, a couch, a coffee table, and a desk. Peering into other rooms I discovered most only had a single bed with no couch. Lucky I guess. Fridge and microwave. Small, but nice exercise room that overlooks the waterpark. CONS: The room is tidy, but already showing some wear due to the flat paint that they used. Walls are thin, door is thin. If my neighbor opens or closes his nighstand I hear everything. Kids...lots of loud kids. Jets are rattling my window on a rather consistent basis. Restaurant and coffee stand / mini-mart are pricey. Bring your own food, or be prepared to eat out. Internet is inconsistent. It's horrible at night. Could not get any work done until after 11. It is free however. Lighting is poor. Getting anyone downstairs to answer the phone is hit or miss, this includes the front desk, housekeeping, and the restaraunt. Be prepared not to have a wake-up call. Once you do reach someone they are however nice and responsive. It's just reaching them that is the problem. Parking is a ways away (I only care because it is pouring rain right now) On a related note, I had a massage at the spa. Not that great, and was also overpriced. I was insulted when the receptionist asked if I would like to leave a tip.
  6. Couldn't get anything better in lower ranges due to the last minute reservation. I'll post a review when I get back.
  7. Let us know how your stay is please, especially whether or not they charge for wireless as it appears that they do. I tried to call the hotel to confirm, but kept getting dc'd...
  8. Sorry to copy Colfax, but he was spot on. $40 for 2.5* brought a $12 counteroffer. I added Burnsville at $45 for the win. Probably could have bid $42. Holiday Inn's regular rate was $118 for these nights. This is a tired and worn down hotel. The carpets in the hallways are dirty and threadbare. A lamp in my room didn't work (until strangely I bumped it, and then it was fine...). Walls were marked, hotel smelt old, carpet in room could use an update, pool area isn't the greatest, but hey, I was just here to sleep. Those things would disturb me at another hotel but for some reason I don't mind them at this Holiday Inn. It's what I've come to expect from the place. The staff is friendly and efficient, the beds are comfortable (my mattress appeared to be new), the free Internet works, and I enjoy that Green Mill restaurant/bar in the lobby. Oh yeah, I was two doors from the elevator, and things were very quiet.
