My bids were rejected yesterday for LAX. I bid $51 on a 3 star. Thanks to this site for letting me know what to bid.

We have stayed here twice before. Positives: The Beds are comfy. The rooms are nice. The hotel has a bar, a (pricey) restaurant, and a friendly concierge. Near the cruises. Deluxe Business accomodations. Negatives: Self Parking with (in & out priveleges) = $15. Valet Parking = $19. Kind of Sterile. We were hoping for a different hotel this time. Oh well.

Holiday Inn Santa Ana - Orange County Airport 2726 South Grand Ave Santa Ana, California 92705 $85 + $15.15 tax = $100.15 We are only staying for 1 night. When I clicked on the map prior to purchase, it said it was near or very close to South Coast Plaza. I thought I was getting Holiday Inn Costa Mesa. :) This has been a bad luck, no good, very bad day. Twice I hesitated on 2 other Hotwire deals, just about 10 minutes each time, and when I went to purchase they were sold out! (3 star in Buena Park for $79 and a 4 star in Long Beach for $106 or $102). Once I figured out what they were ..... they were no longer available. I really wish HOTWIRE & PRICELINE had more options in Seal Beach/Sunset Beach/Huntington Beach area. Anyways, thanks for letting me rant. I finished reading the post. You wrote on the beach. So nevermind my guess written below. I live in Ventura as well. My guess was ..................... Marriott Ventura Beach Hotel 2055 Harbor Boulevard Ventura, California 93001 United States It is wonderful and near the beach. It is off of Seaward. It is in the "Pierpont Area" of Ventura. My friends stayed there. They do have guest laundry. You can walk to restaurants. The bike path is very close as well. Good luck! Sincerely, Pie P.S. If it is the Crowne Plaza, please be aware that there is a webcam that can be watched while you are in the pool and all around the property, as well as on the boardwalk, by anyone anywhere who has internet access. It, Ventura's webcam, was originally created for the surf report. Its zoom spans as far away as the pier to the fairgrounds. Once zoomed in it has an amazing close up view. It is frame delay instead of streaming. Which means it shows you the image you zoom in on, approx. 10 seconds apart, with the power of your mouse. I am a high school computer teacher and I have requested that our local representative mandate that signs are posted making others aware of potential stalking and lack of privacy. I received a form letter in return, over two years ago, stating that it would be looked into. However, nothing has happened.

They assured me there would be no problem even though I was listening to the reports of the San Diego & the Orange County fires. I arrived tired at 11:30 P.M. I was told they were full. Although I prepaid via Hotwire, I was sent to another chain hotel 6 miles away. I got lost and grew frustrated. Over the next 3 days, I met many people who had stories of being displaced or missing a graduation. Suddenly, my inconvenience of being shuffled to a different hotel seemed small compared to what others experienced. The second night, I was able to return to my hotel. Location! Location! Location! The bike path was 2 blocks away as well as the ocean. The pool is small and had ash in it. They have complimentary breakfast with a waffle maker. The staff was great and I was upgraded to a partial ocean view room. I love this place! No charge for parking. There are 2 lots. Both are very close (1 on the premises. The other an alley away.). They sell sodas and other handy items at the front desk. Las Brisas Ixtapa Playa Vista Hermosa S/N Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Guerrero 40880 Mexico 011-52-755-553-2121 4*, Ixtapa 1 room(s) @ $104.00 per night x 7 night(s) = $728 + $174.09 tax = $902.07 total from Hotwire Fabulous Hotel! Every room has a full ocean view with a mostly private balcony & hammock! Everyone is kind. Hotel Restaurants are pricey. Happy hour is brief and it is packed. Yummy drinks and kind tourists (like myself). Only a few people lived nearby. Very kind staff. They need another happy hour waiter. Ocean Swimming: I am an experienced ocean swimmer. However........ I was fine for about 20 minutes then a set came in that broke unusually fast. I was tired trying to keep up. Once they break, swimmers should try to swim near the ocean floor to not get all turned around. I ate sand and lost my top temporarily and was rolled around for a long time. Great bang for the buck (even with parking). Conveniently located. I booked a 4 night stay in a 3* Hotel for $62 plus tax =$68.90 per night on HOTWIRE. My stay will begin on a Saturday in October. Drumroll........................ And the envelope please..... The price was higher when I put in 2, 3, 5, and 7 nights. Hi. I just purchased the 3.5* (SOUTH RENO). I paid $79 + $16.56 (taxes) = $95.56. On the GRAND SIERRA website, I would have paid $89.00 + $10.68 (tax) = $99.68 (Standard Room) So, I saved $4.12. :) ???? When I arrive at the Grand Sierra resort, will there be additional taxes?
