Hi, not sure if you think this is the Westin or not, but this is the W hotel, not the Westin. W hotels are knows for their active lounges (think night clubish) at night and contemporary rooms. It's still a starwood property though. It's usually a very nice hotel.

Checked two weeks ago on hotwire and nothing showed up. Macarthur's own website didn't have these dates available for booking yet either. Checked this past week and saw the 4* option. Checked Macarthur's website and the rooms are open. Lowest rate is $225. Good deal as I got the hotel that I targeted. I have read this forum for a while and decided to use Priceline for the first time! Couldn't resist after seeing a few people getting $125 for around the same time period we are going. Used the savingsbarn link and everything was really easy. Bid first time at $125 for 3 nights (2 rooms) for resort in Kaanapali-Lahaina and got accepted right away from Westin Maui.
