Hello! I am in the process of planning a group trip to Yellowstone, Grand Teton & Glacier this Sept. We would like to try to obtain 4 hotel rooms in West Yellowstone on Sept 1, 2 hotel rooms in Bozeman on Sept 8 and 2 rooms again in Bozeman on Sept 13. I would like your advice on when to start bidding for these and any bidding strategies would also be appreciated. TIA. Nancy

Just a final update--- I was unsuccessful in my PRICELINE bids (using your link) so we ended up using our back up reservation. The hotel was very close to full since it was a holiday weekend (Valentines Day)& there was a wine trail event. Had a great time & if anyone is ever entertaining the Finger Lakes, Lake Seneca was wonderful.

Using the BB PRICELINE link I bid today as directed & rejected. Tomorrow's another day.

I will try your strategy when I am able to bid tomorrow. I do have a back up reservation with ECT that can be cancelled until noon on Friday. Can you instruct on how to extend a stay? I've never seen that option before. I did use the PRICELINE link today when I started bidding. Thank you for your help!

Thanks for the reply. My husband probably wouldn't be happy with me, lol, but we could live 2 different hotels if the price was right. Reviewing trip advisor, there are not many name brand hotels in the area, so I am fairly confident it's the BW Penn Yan. So yes, we could live with it. TY!

Hi All, It's been awhile since I've posted here. Very nice new look! I am looking at Penn Yan, NY on priceline for 2/11-2/13. I believe the hotel is the Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn & Suites. The rates are very different for Sat ($134.99) & Sun ($89.99) on the hotel website. The best rate I found was on easyclicktravel.com on 2/11 for $98.99 and on 2/12 for $89.99 (which is my back-up reservation). I tried bidding once to include both nights at $50/night then just for 2/11 at $60 & both were rejected. Should I continue to bid for the nights separately? Any advice is welcomed as I haven't bid in quite awhile. TY! Nancy

I sometimes have to stay in this area for early morning meetings & I agree with previous poster that the area is very inconsistent with hotel quality. I have stayed a few times at the Budget Inn & Suites in East Stroudsburg & I highly recommend them. I usually get an excellent rate there & the rooms have always been spotless.

I had thought it might be the Abraham Lincoln which was pricing at $109/night (plus taxes & fees) on their website. Thanks for the help. Nancy

My friend who I will be traveling with and I were not thrilled with these choices as we were hoping for one of the hi rise resorts right on Palm Beach. Instead we went through skyauction and bid on the Holiday Inn. For these dates the Holiday Inn was going for $150/night (including taxes & fees) and we got it with the all inclusive for $194 (total including taxes & fees). To us this was a great deal because it is the tail end of our vacation after we stay at my timeshare & we can be lazy and lay by the pool/on the beach all day and have breakfast, lunch and drinks then we can go out for a great dinner at night. I know the Holiday Inn is not extremely popular, but we are happy with our choice. Thanks for all your help! Nancy
