  1. I thought this might be the Hilton, but the Westin's even better! I used the BetterBidding.com HOTWIRE link, too. Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby "We are still gathering reviews for this property." Hotel rate per night: $79.00 Subtotal: $79.00 Tax recovery charges and fees: $17.43 Total: $96.43
  2. I booked a 3* in San Rafael for $69 (9/23-9/24) today (one amenity = pool) and got the Extended Stay Deluxe. Would have preferred the Four Points, but what can you do... (Booked it through the BetterBidding HOTWIRE, too!) Thanks for this great forum.
  3. I believe it is the Wynn, and not the Encore. I called to request two beds and did not hear otherwise. But how funny that the same amenities got someone else the Venetian! The absence of the Casino icon is very misleading. Sneaky Vegas hotels! I did link from betterbidding.com because I love this site!
  4. Got the Wynn for two nights for $109/night (1/15-1/17). Listed as 5* Las Vegas Center Strip. Here are the amenities (strangely enough, casino not among them): Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Business Center Golf Nearby Spa Services
  5. I bid today on a 4.5* hotel in Kaanapali for Labor Day weekend with the following amenities and got the Hyatt Regency for $208/night (cheapest deal I could find -- through HOTWIRE's Travel-Ticker site -- was $249/night. Amenities: Resort Beachfront Oceanfront Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Children's Activity Program
  6. I bid on the following today and got the Kimpton Group's Cypress Hotel in Cupertino for $99 (only $10 off the internet price on the Kimpton site) for 9/15/07 - one night: 4* San Jose (Sunnyvale) Amenities: Boutique Hotel Airport Shuttle High-Speed Internet Access Pool Restaurant Fitness Center Business Center Customer rating: 4.5 out of 5 (40+ reviews)
  7. Thanks for your help! Good to know. The other thing that's happening that week is what I'm in town for -- the Annual Catalog Conference. I bet there are other trade shows and conventions, too. A couple weeks ago we got a great rate for the Park Plaza through Hotwire, but now it's over $200. Good luck! Alexandra
  8. Airport Shuttle Fitness Center High-speed Internet Access Complimentary Breakfast Business Center What hotel could this be? Any guesses? I didn't see it on the other posts. Thanks for your help! Alexandra
  9. Sure, sorry I couldn't find them to add last time -- thanks for the tip! Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Thank you!
  10. I just booked a hotel on Hotwire and thought for sure it was going to be the previously referenced Clarion Hotel & Suites (which I wasn't all that excited about). Imagine my surprise when the 3* Central Madison hotel ($61 for one night -- Jan. 18) turned out to be the Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor's Club. It looks pretty terrible on the outside, but hey, free airport shuttle and internet should make up for that. I tried to find out how much that room would be normally, but the hotel's reservation site is impossible and doesn't actually show the rates. I tried booking through the HOTWIRE link on this site (which I love -- thank you!) the other day and got higher rates. Is that normal?
