  1. I had a very nice room there with my mother. we took one of the several busses practically at the door from the hotel. There is even a bus from victoria. Get to know those routes. It is in a very nice area and you will feel like you are on a tour bus everyday into town. There are lots of nice eateries nearby and fresh fruit at a place across the street that we enjoyed as we opted out of the overpriced breakfast. I would not mind getting this hotel again. There is also a bus from the covnet garden area to go home after the theater. I suggest you become a hilton honors member before your stay. It might give you a little advantage if you do not like your room.

  2. We had three rooms here recently, each varied greatly in size as did the baths. At $40/night one cannot complain. I would rate this a 3.5*, or if based in hallway maintenance a high 3*. Our rooms were clean and correct, it was only the hallways that showed the poor choice of materials for such a high traffic area. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had simple amenities, and a kettle in the room with coffee and tea.

The staff was pleasant, and the location is excellent.

Walking distance to grande place and shopping and a very popular restaurant square.

Free Wifi in lobby. Reduced public parking nearby ( about 15E/night) instead of hotel's own parking at 26E. The staff pointed us to the cheaper parking if we did not want to pay their fee ( with no prompting at all). We did not have the 23E breakfast, thank you.

One can upgrade at the NH hotels for 15 or 30E depending on how much of an upgrade you want. One of our rooms must have been one of the upgraded ones as it was much larger as was the bath.

There is a metro stop across the way but we did not use it so I am not sure if it goes directly to the airport or not.

All in all this is excellent value for money and I would be very happy to win this hotel again.

  3. Beware using priceline for more than 2 in the room. i called a few hotels about a third person who MIGHT be with the bidders two fo their four nights and how to handle that in case we won their hotel on priceline. Some hotels said.. pay the extra person fee IF THEY STILL HAD ROOM FOR ROLLAWAY. No 2 bed guarantees.

And Hyatt Embarcadero said one would have to call priceline and CHANGE the reservation, that they would NOT allow us just to pay the extra person fee.

Needless to say for this stay there was no priceline bidding at all. Just got my friends the three person room the dates they needed it, and then a 2 person room for the others at same hotel.

    Too risky.

  4. I stayed here in May, 2010 and was very happy with the hotel and its location. I had been worried about it seeming a bit too far north on the map, but this amounted to a couple tube stops. Plenty of buses to take into the attractions area, too.

There is a wonderful library and cultural, municipal sports center across the road. We had a good breakfast at the organic caf

  5. It seems this is the only 4* hotel people are getting in Brussels.. not surprised since they accept such low bids.

First bid. Seems everyone gets it at $40 or a bit above. I guess I could have tried a bit lower.. although there hasn't been posted success in the past.

There are 5 of us, so this worked out cheaper than two Hotwire rooms (3/2) at what seemed to be the Sheraton Towers.

Website's cheapest rooms would have been $305 for the three rooms. With tax our three rooms totaled $143.. Very happy. I linked to PRICELINE through your site as usual.

I will write a review when I return as I found none here.

  6. To just add after our stay that I would LOVE to win this hotel again. It is near a tube stop AND several buses. There is a fabulous municipal gym/pool/ wellness center with climbing wall across the street. Had a wonderful organic, fresh breakfast at a place attached to the wellness center. Beautiful residential neighborhood and very peaceful. A delightful respite. This hotel also has larger than normal rooms. For this quick trip it was not the most convenient, but then again, we were talking about a couple tube tops. The pluses outweighed these extra tube stops by far!
