Hot.wire win
3 nights Hot Rate® Hotel@ $56.00/night $168.00
Tax recovery charges & fees $36.75
Subtotal $204.75
Hotwire Total $204.75
It says also I'm going to get gaffled for another $87 in resort fees by the hotel. Is this charged when I check-in?
Also, I read the tips for sleeping arrangements but I'm curious if there are best practices when trying to get two queens [calling/emailing hotel, etc]?
Thanks for the assistance! This site is amazing.
Please provide a follow-up for your prior Monterey Priceline thread. Post what you decided for that stay within that thread, then reply to this thread and we would be happy to take a look at the above post.
Additionally, for the Vegas stay, are you looking at bidding or are you looking at the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals side. If you are looking at the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals side, please provide the amenities showing with the listing and the price per night before taxes/fees.
Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
Apologies, just posted the winning bid to my previous thread.
I'm actually looking at a Hot.wire price, so I posted this in the wrong forum (please forgive my adhd brain). Any chance you could move or delete this?

I wound up winning with a $215 bid. Not great but it was last minute and we had an awesome stay.
Thanks for the help! Apologies for not promptly following up!
Hi,
Just want to be as confident as possible that this deal is for the SLS & not Treasure Island. I've read all the recent posts with questions and/or confirmations and all seem to point to the SLS deals falling below what Treasure Island offers.
We have a large group already booked @ SLS & want to make sure we're at the same hotel.
Much obliged!
Need a little help.
Trying to get a 4* room in Monterey the weekend of 10/6 for my girl's bday. Priceline states median price is at $304 right now.
Yesterday I tried $110, $115, $120 & $125 adding the surround areas each time. Today I did $120, $130, $150 & finally $160.... all denied.
Am I screwed because it's only about two weeks away? What is the average max discount to be expected? 40%? Any and all advise is greatly appreciated!
Regards,
-jw
Damn, I've already been denied at $110, $115, $120 & $125 for 10/5 - 10/7. (4*)
Do you have better odds bidding a few days in a row? Or am I screwed since my trip is only 2 1/2 weeks away?
Thanks!

Didn't see Crowne Plaza as a 4* on the list so I bid much higher than I should have...was hoping to get one of the Lowes hotels on the park grounds.
Oh well, ya win some ya lose some!
