I am thinking its the Hyatt Place 17th street or Embassy 17th street
Leaning toward Hyatt Place since I called Embassy and they said they charge for airport shuttle.
If Hotwire list airport shuttle as an amenity is it complimentary ?
Stayed at the Holiday Inn express last year booked directly so the area is good precruise
Looking for a place that has Free Shuttle and Free breakfast in Ft Lauderdale as we are flying into FLL
Any help is appreciated!!
I went up to $121 with bonus cash that was in my account and got nothing
ended up booking via HOTWIRE
Of course using the PRICELINE link :D
Started bidding in the Sonoma area and south Napa area
Started at 80 and worked my way up to 107 with no luck
My account also had bonus cash that brought the total to 111 still no win
I noticed HOTWIRE has 4 star in Sonoma for $133 a night. I'd book it with hotwire but when I add 1 child both 4 star hotels disappears, strange.
Any tips or bidding strategies ? How high should I go on PRICELINE ?
1 room 5 nights, 2 Adults and One child 2 years old
Had to go the Wilmington for business so gave Hotwire a shot
Won the Holiday Inn that is beach front in Wrightsville Beach. (1706 North Lumina Avenue, Wrightsville Beach, NC, 28480)
The Hotel itself is ok but showing age and they have specific rooms for Hotwire guest and not willing to move you no matter the complaint or reason (i.e filthy room). Regardless of how many other rooms where available.
Probably first time we were tried like a low class for say using Hotwire and may be the last. Hope this helps someone but can't recommend the hotel via Hotwire.

I was reviewing the hotel list as I normally do before bidding. For Sonoma its straight forward and appears to list 2 possible hotels. For Napa it list 4 hotels but when I go to Priceline there are 2 zones for Napa.
Napa Downtown North and Napa Downtown South. All 3 zones have 4 stars. What zone do you recommend I start bidding in for convenience to most wineries ? Which zone has the 4 hotels we may win ? and how low of price should I start at? Checked Hotwire and noticed a 4 star in Sonoma going for 133 a night but only when no children selected, what gives? Looking for following dates: 11/18 - 11/23. Thanks for any help in advance.
Did not want the Omni as its futher from Disney wanted the Gaylord
Mileage from airport shows 18.5 miles. google maps shows 18.8 from Gaylord Palms. Omni is further away. But still unsure if this is Gaylord and if mileage is accurate.
Ended up booking a Hotel direct that is cancellable. I am eying a hotel I saw on Hotwire

Based on the information from BB I believe it to be Gaylord Palms, What do you guys think ?
yes was the Hilton near downtown Disney with AAA rate. We changed it to Wyndham Grand AAA rate $109 night a few weeks back but still eying some on HOTWIRE.
Ended up booking a 4 start Hotel on Disney property for $79 direct with AAA discount that's refundable up to 5 days before. I guess I will continue to watch HOTWIRE as we get closure, not sure I can get a better deal then this
I was looking at the same hotel for stay at end of August I believe its Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Sheraton Safari
Got 4 out of 5 on Trip advisor http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g34515-d115398-Reviews-Sheraton_Lake_Buena_Vista_Resort-Orlando_Florida.html
Whats annoying is that the hotel is $84 direct and $71 on Hotwire.
If its something different I'd be curious to see what it is

Found a handful of places that we can book direct under $100 that are close or on Disney properly. I tried bidding Resort on Priceline up to $80 with no wins in Disney Lake Buena Vista Zone
Might end up booking direct.
My wife, my 20 month old daughter and I will be visiting Disney before our Disney Cruise in Early September. We have never been to Disney before (At least as Adults) and need help in finding a hotel that will have shuttles to Disney. We generally Priceline (Name your price) or Hotwire our hotels but appears there are many zones in this area. We will have a rental car but my wife prefers to shuttle as she thinks its more convenient. We will only be there 2 full days before the cruise and where planning to go to Epcot and Animal Kingdom as they where recommended for our daughter. Can you guys recommend any hotels for direct booking or zones to use in priceline/hotwire? Any other help or tips appreciated. Top priority being location to Disney, Price, Shuttle and # of Stars.
There was a $21 bonus cash under my rewards so I clicked on the link and booked $6 plus $3 bonus from Priceline.

Hopegully Avis gives us something better than an Impala, lol
Maybe a Malibu or Sonata would be nice
Started bidding in the $50 range and went up to $61
Priceline tried to con me into bidding 12 more and I refused
Bid $4 more and won at $65.00
continued to watch Hotwire and noticed this hotel on there also around $80 night
Won this exact same hotel around this time last year.
Much better location than Crown Plaza as you can walk to all the downtown areas
Four Points By Sheraton Asheville Downtown 3 star
Asheville Downtown - Biltmore Estate
22 Woodfin Street, Asheville, NC 28801
And as always used the board PRICELINE links
Yes I would look at the hotel list so you can get an idea of what hotels you might win
Check hotwire and see what 3 star range is . Then start low in the 50-60 range
Last year late April weekend trip we won four points for $64 I believe. Good luck
wjcassidy, we've taken a lot of trips to Asheville. Always using Priceline and bidding 4-3 stars. We usually get the Crown Plaza in 3.5 star downtown zone. Its just an ok hotel but I recommend others well before it.
Please be sure to post your winnings as we may be able to help each other I am going a few days after you go in April. Don't spend more than $80 on 3.5 star downtown zone. IMO I'd rather pay more and book direct then over pay for Crown Plaza. Try 3 stars in downtown, we once won the 4 points Sheraton and it excellent location to downtown! I am referring strictly to Priceline but may give Hotwire a try this time around.
PS be sure to support this site and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links ;)
Meant to post this a while back and forgot, nonetheless someone else also posted so no issues
Booked Mon thru Friday originally and tried to add Sunday for $100 additional about 3 weeks out and was denied
Waited one week before and was able to add it.
Got to the hotel and asked for Oceanfront or Oceanview and was treated like low grade priceliner ask the person yelled loudly " since you pricelined ....."
Was offered Oceanview and Oceanfront at additional night cost even though rooms where available and we refused.
Hotel rooms are just ok but resort is nice. We where charged $10 a day for parking... nickel and dime if you ask me.
Overall was outstanding vacation but in the end would have preferred Westin Resort.

I tried to PRICELINE Hilton head 6/17-6-20
I tried for 4 days and went up to $151
Did not win a room, I agree with first poster in past I was able to win rooms in 90-120 range without any issues
We ended up booking Myrtle Beach via hotwire.
Take a looks at Charleston if you are interested in alternative and good luck!
