Still - a great deal for a specific location. I'll be right close to the convention center and a nice pool area for the GF to hang out at.
Thank you for your help!

Would you id this as the Manchester Grand Hyatt?
Thanks, and yes, I'll use your HOTWIRE link to book.
Thank you.
It appears Hotwire recently revised the San Diego map so IDing may take some guesswork.
Should I start a new thread in the Hotwire Forum?
70 $, The Westgate Hotel, tried yesterday at 60 reject, waited 24 hrs 70$ immediate accept. It works for me, but just saw glenninflorida is trying to avoid it...so I'd like to know what's wrong with it.
First. let me say I have not been to San Diego before so no first-hand experiences.
It's just a preference for me.
I'm just looking for a property with a recreation pool / whirlpool area on the harbor and near the convention center.
I think $70 for the Westgate is a great deal (has great reviews on TrpAdvr), Congratulations Flockster
Good deal gurus:
Any strategies for a 4* San Diego (Downtown-Harbor Island) avoiding the Westgate.
I'm staying from 7/11 - 7/17 for a large conference at the convention center and would love to get the Hyatt Manchester for under $100 (the Omni will work also for under $100).
Is bidding for Sat night 7/11 only, seeing what I get, and trying to extend extra days (hopefully that gets offered) a good way to go?
Thanks!
Bid $150 Rejected. PL offered re-bid with $25 increase which I did - accepted $175.
Your Offer Price: $175.00
Number of Rooms: 1
Number of Nights: 2
Subtotal: $350.00
Taxes and Service Fees: $55.66
Total Charges*: $405.66
Would have been a great price for the Don Cesar (the only known 4* currently listed here) - not so great price for the Tradewinds Island Grand (AAA rate is $171). Add to that a $25/night resort fee.
Please add Tradewinds Island Grand to the hotel list as a 4*.
All in all, a great property and last-minute on a holiday weekend. I was just hoping for the kind of deals I have in the past with PL.
Is their anything I could have done differently?
Thank you for the website / contributions. I have learned alot here.

I'm searching some SD properties in July and saw this $88 "deal" also. This is totally UNCONFIRMED - but searching TA, the only TA 4-star I have found in the area is the Rancho Bernardo Inn. I am really curious to know about this.
