Hi thereuare,
We ended up booking directly through Marriott's site. They just built a new SpringHill Suites downtown/bayfront and are running a great price directly from their site. I'm guessing a special to get rooms booked since it just opened. Close to Gaslamp was our first choice and we were able to get a room for $167 at SpringHill Suites within walking distance of Gaslamp.
Thanks for you help!
Cindy
Thank you! We're traveling with another family and I had the dates wrong. They are not flexible, 3/31 - 4/3 are our dates.

I was thinking maybe this is the Hyatt Mission Bay based on the hotel list, but I'm not 100% sure. Thoughts?
I used the bidding helper, but this doesn't seem to match up to anything in the hotel list. Any thoughts as to what hotel this is?

It was actually less expensive than I thought it would be. I'd been stalking this board for weeks waiting for someone to bid in May. I checked in the afternoon, but didn't check again before I started bidding or I would have seen the other new May bid and adjusted my strategy. I never would have started that low in a 4* zone when I know how much the hotels are. So really I'm kicking myself for not checking again right before I bid. It's still a great deal and the hotel looks nice except for a few bad reviews so I don't think we'll be unhappy with the purchase.
I've been bidding for the Capitol Hill zone for a few days with no luck. I decided to drop back down to $170, 60% off average rate, adding in the White House zone not expecting to get it, but I did get The Mayflower Renaissance. I'm a little bummed now considering how much more we're paying versus the other win today. Wish I'd seen that before I bid in the White House zone. Oh well I hope this hotel is nice, the reviews seem a bit mixed.

Based on previous posts I'm thinking Dupont Circle Hotel?
Almost booked through Embassy Suites for $100 more per night because we need a suite, but decided to come here and see what deals we could find instead. Boy am I glad I did! We've stayed here before a number of years ago and it was nice. We're looking forward to the stay.

Can anyone help me identify this hotel? We're traveling with our baby and would like to be at the Embassy Suites. This has very similar amenities but it also sounds like the Wyndham so I am not sure. Thanks!

I'm very happy with how this worked out. We've stayed at the Hotel Pacific before and they have very spacious rooms and I love the architecture of the buildings. It was a bit noisy on our last stay but hopefully it will be quieter this time. These rooms have plenty of room for our pack n play which was something I was worried about. The added bonus is Hotwire has the hotel listed for $199/nt during our stay so $125/nt is a good deal.
This Hotel features the following amenities:
Boutique Hotel
Smoke Free Rooms
High-Speed Internet Access
Golf Nearby
Complimentary Breakfast
It was the Hotel Pacific. I was thrown because the hotel list has them as a 4*, but once you pointed it out I saw that Hotwire now has them as a 3.5*. We've stayed here before and like the spacious rooms and this was a great deal seeing as how their rooms are currently listed at $199/nt if you choose the named hotel option. Thanks again for your help!
Sorry I knew I was forgetting something. The dates of our stay are 7/29 - 7/31.
Those are all the amenities listed even when you expand the list out. I can find matches until I get to the "Golf Nearby" amenity that seems to throw a wrench into things.
Thanks!
I can't for the life of me figure out which hotel this is. It doesn't appear to match any of the ones in the hotel list. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Thank you that is very helpful. That would definitely work. I am going to peruse the MAPS and HOTELS.com site a little (thanks for the link) before I make a final selection. I will post back in the appropriate forum and use the click throughs once I am ready to book. Thank you again for your help it has helped orient me a little which is what I needed.
I'm willing to take the metro as long as the hotel is close to a station. I will be by myself, coming and going very early and later in the evening so I don't want to be wandering around an unknown place alone for safety reasons. Thanks for your help.
I'm going to DC 4/24-4/26 and have been through several rounds of bidding on 4 star and 3.5 star hotels in the Convention Ctr/Capital area on priceline. I'm going to a meeting and they are based out of the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capital Hill so I'd like to be near there. I've gone up to $220/nt and still had nothing accepted. I've seen other wins for much lower posted in the same areas and am wondering if I should wait until closer to my travel dates to bid. Any thoughts on what I can do to increase my chances? I've never been to DC and am not familiar with the area, I would be willing to stay in a different area if there are other areas that would be walking distance to the Capital since my meeting will be split between the Hyatt and the Capital Bldg. Thanks
The dates of our stay are 5/1/09 - 5/3/09

My guess is Intercontinental or Hyatt, what do you all think? The Boutique amenity is throwing me off.
I bid several times over a couple weeks starting at $90 (I knew this was wishful thinking). I wanted to be close to Coronado for a wedding so I made sure that all my rebid zones had less than 4 stars. It took 3 rebids yesterday and on my 4th rebid my bid was accepted for $140/nt at the San Diego Marriott Harbor. I am staying at this hotel in Dec for work and our contracted rate for our convention is $230/nt and the hotel's listed rate is $280/nt so I am pretty thrilled with this price.
