  3. I'm actually going to watch a Tampa Bay Rays baseball match, and I just found out that the Stadium is not really in Tampa, but in St. Petersburg.

Busch Gardens is just an idea to spend the day yet.

So I guess I'll have to decide whether to get a Hotel in Tampa or in St Petersburg.

Regarding the third person in the room, my daughter is a 2-year old, so I'm thinking that won't be a problem. I'll check out prices on HOTWIRE as well, though. Thanks for the advice!

I'm thinking 4* Hotel at about $50... do you think it's findable?

I'll use the links for sure.

    Thanks!

  4. It's going to be the end of our (me and my wife) 2-week trip thru California, by car.

As we're going to be with a car, it would be interesting to have parking facilities wherever we stay (free, or low cost, if possible). I've heard this could be a problem in San Francisco.

But we'd like to be in a nice neighbourhood, with easy access to the areas of interest of the city, even if by public transportation, not necessarily walking distance.

Any thoughts/suggestions are greatly apreciated, as I really have no clue from where to begin looking at...

    Thanks and regards

  5. Hello there!

I`m going to spend 3 days with my wife in the Monterey area (May 23-25) and I`m thinking about the lodging.

I`ve heard that it is best to stay in Carmel because of the proximity to the nicest restaurants, shops, most interesting places to stroll, etc.

However it seems that one can`t get a decent B&B room for less than $150.

On the other hand, I`ve seen here some deals under $100 for 3.5* hotels in Monterey using PRICELINE, but none for Carmel.

Any thoughts on that? Any possibility for getting a cheaper stay in Carmel?

    Thanks and regards
