Very surprised to get this one. I thought it was Manchester Hyatt due to the highly specific descriptions (I should have noticed the order of some items is different). This does not fit the Westin San diego in the hotel list (I assume it is the same ?) which does not have Golf, Tennis etc. From what I read, it is unsuitable for children (I will bring two) on the weekend, so this may go wasted.

First try worked.
Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, it did not work on my home cable modem, even after I cleared cookies and repowered modem. Maybe TOBB somehow got smarter, or I've something else other than the cookies that causes problem ? Interestingly, I posted the "banned" message from work, and both work and home were banned. I'm wondering whether the computers in the hotels that I had logged in were also banned.
Me too. Banned as of yesterday. I think the mistake is posting the bid result (a different star level) separately from an original inquiry (titled as failed bid). Well I made the same mistake here too, and the moderator simply merged them. Might as well. Will be full time here (posted my winning), although I can still view TOBB from another computer that I've never logged into TOBB.
Got on first bid. Probably overbid. Hotel price $158

Yes, I reserved a 2 br timeshare unit for the rest of the stay. But the first night we don't get there until late at night so still trying to save some money.
$102, 2.5*, 4/1
The only amenities are fitness center and kitchenett. With the Kitchenett, I thought it has to be Howard Johnson (hotel rate $109), but I can't find any description of a fitness center. The hotel also shoudl have breakfast. I can't seem to find any hotel in pacific grove that could match these two ametities.
Thanks. I think you are probably right. But Munras as $400/nite is outrageous, and 0.9 mi to beach and 0.5 mi to Tennis are not quite "near beach and tennis", and a hot tub for pool ? I'm glad I did not book. Also on tripadvisor someone did report it as being a 2.5* hotwire hotel, and was given a not so nice room.
I think I have this figured out except the $400 part. I checked hotels around Monterey tennis club (pretty much the only main tennis in Monterey) on Google map, Travelodge downtown monterey is the only cheap motel around (0.2 mile to tennis, 0.4 mi to beach, has pool, restaurant and pool, and free internet. Motel web site rate is $82-92, not much more than here. Not worthwhile if this is correct.

I hope this is Monterey bay lodge, which is where I intend to stay. There is a tennis pro shop 0.3 mi away. But I'm afraid it's probably too risky.
Yes, you are correct. The one you listed are the complete amenities.
Note: This was a 4* until recently. Firefox browser consistently gave me $66, while IE gave me $65. Small difference but strange ...

There are some times big price difference between 2 and 4 occupancy bids. Last December, when I bid at Casa Marina Key West, the difference was about $10, so I used 2A/2C bid, and did get a 2 bed room (this hotel is known to have many single bed rooms). When I bid my 7/3-7/4 stay at Holiday inn Chattanooga last night, it was the same $54 for either choice. Tonight the 2A/2C choice would be $140, while the 2A option remains $54 (using Firefox, IE gave $56). My question is: does the occupancy offer any garantee ?
How long does it take to receive the email ? I sent out mine (2nd use) two weeks ago. If they don't give it to me, I'm willing to pay $9.99 to buy another book, and get the $30 rebate.

Sorry I forgot to use the link. It's been a while since I visited the site. From tripadvisor.com, on weekend this hotel is a loud party scene (including the entire lobby). However, after looking into alternatives ($300 and up), I doubt I can afford another reservation. We'll just be in the room or going out. The room should be OK. Hopefully it won't be too loud for any sleep.
