Romelle
You've got a challenge here. Hotwire 2* Downtown STL for your dates is $116. Priceline can be a little less expensive, but it is still going to be costly. You didn't mention your max budget? Or the star level for which you'd like to bid?Romelle Link to comment
cortay
Presently, we have reservations at the Millenium for $150 per night. We are really looking to upgrade to a better 4* hotel for that price (or less preferrably) or at the very least, stay at Millenium for less. (After reading reviews on trip advisor, the Millenium doesn't sound very good?!) Link to comment
Romelle
The Millenium does have some sad reviews, doesn't it? Priceline is carrying on the retail side as a 3*, so you could bid both 4* and the 3 1/2* Downtown up to your back-up price of $150. Lots of free re-bid zones, so you should be able to do it within the time you have left.If that didn't work, I think I'd take a good look at the other zones and see if the trade-off between having to drive to that game and pay parking is worth staying in a nicer hotel out a bit. People place different values on these sorts of things, so it is pretty much up to you. Maybe somebody here that knows Saint Louis will jump in and help you evaluate???Romelle Link to comment
AaronJB
The Forest Park/Clayton areas are popular, although are still expensive with overflow traffic from downtown for these dates (HOTWIRE only has a 3* for $140). Cheaper but definitely further out would be the St Louis West-Chesterfield area, which is a very nice suburban section. These hotels also wouldn't likely charge for parking. If you're just going to the game(s) and not really doing anything else downtown, staying out in the burbs may not be a bad idea.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. cortay
Ended up staying at the Millenium for the amount we received over the phone. The Millenium was was not a bad hotel. I would stay there again. Link to comment
