Priceline Hotel: Need help in the Austin area

I am planning a trip to the San Marcos/Austin area in March. The dates are Marach 13-16 for three nights. I was looking at the Austin area map on Priceline and I am very confused on what area to bid on. I would like easy access to Interstate 35 and close proximity to San Marcos and New Braunfels but I don't neccessarily have to stay in those two cites since the hotel quality is not what I normally prefer. So I would like to bid for the Austin area instead.

What areas do I need to bid on to ensure that I am close to where I want to be? The cheapest rates that I have been able to find for San Marocs/NB is 80-100+ and I have been searching since Dec. My bid limit would be 65 for a 3-3.5* hotel.

You don't mention what star quality you're looking for or how far you're willing to travel, but it appears that in Downtown, Central, North, and Round Rock will all leave you close to Rte 35.

Let us know which zone(s) you decide upon, your desired star rating and maximum budget... we'll then suggest a strategy for you to follow.
