Priceline Hotel: 3* San Francisco (Civic Center) Holiday Inn Golden Gateway

I know, this price is insane! But there are seriously limited rooms in SF for Oct 24th due to the ASO convention. I usually get a 4* USE or USW for $80 on a Saturday night.

I tried for a couple of weeks to get a 4* room for much less until I learned about the convention.

So, just so everyone knows, if your looking for a room in downtown SF on 10/24, it will be difficult. I had no luck at $230 price for 4*, so I moved down to 3.5*-still no luck. Then 3* and added Civic Center area and finally got accepted. I usually never select any area other than USE, USW, Fisherman's Warf, or Financial District. I'm not so thrilled about the Civic Center location, but at least I'm downtown. And a cable car station is right next to this hotel, so its easy transport to the touristy areas.

It is still a better deal than any other posted rates for that night at that hotel.
