Priceline Hotel: 4* Chicago (River North-NMA) Millenium Knickerbocker

I recently used Priceline to book a room in Chicago ... Checked in on July 16 (Thurs) checked out on July 19 (Sunday). I landed the Knickerbocker for $80 per night. It was an excellent hotel with a great location.

I was very happy with that hotel for that price, but I actually could have probably got it a little cheaper had I known of the great tips found on this site. In the future I will use the links thru this site, and will also put to use the great bidding tips I have picked up from reading this site.

Me and my travel partner were on the phone together when we began bidding ... she started at $60 ... rejected ... I then tried $80 and was accepted. Seeing that that the hotel generally costs $200 plus per night I expected that $80 to be rejected ... it was accepted instead. I suppose the cheapest price possible would have been somewhere in between our two bids, but $80 was a great bargain anyway. Next time out though I will apply the bidding princples I've learned here, and in the end I won't have to pay a penny extra.

Thanks, hope my info helps.
