jeff blake
We went to Chicago a while back and got the Swissotel for about 65 a night. I really enjoyed staying there and was wondering if anyone had luck around may 8th or 9th at that hotel? Even if not I would really like a hotel that I can walk to lake michigan. Any ideas on where to start bidding and what prices. I read the how to bid things, but am still a little lost. I would need 2 rooms for the 8th and 9th. Link to comment
AaronJB
Keep in mind that PRICELINE does not allow one to specify a hotel or a lakefront property - the service is about getting a good deal, and as a trade-off, you have to be flexible about where you end up. Even if someone was able to get the Swiss for these dates (there haven't been any reports), if you bid on PRICELINE, you could still very easily get something else. Overall, PRICELINE just isn't a very good choice to get a specific property.Additionally, rates vary by date; while you may have been lucky enough to stay at the Swiss for $65 in the past, if these dates are busier, it will cost more. What is your budget per room/per night?
