Hotwire Hotel: 3*+ NYC (MTC,MTE,TS-TD) 1/2-1/4 for 2 beds room

First, let me say how awesome this forum is.

Now I'm trying to get a hotel room which has 2 beds available, or enough space in the room for a roll-away bed. My ideal location would be a 3*+ in MTE, MTC or Time Square.

I did couple searches with 1 room with 2 guests and saw the following option:

4.5* in MTC for $199 , Fitness center, High speed internet, Business center, Resturant , possibly Royalton

4* in MTC for $169, Fitness center, High speed internet, Business center, probably the Algonquin

3.5* in MTC for $143, Fitness center, High speed internet, Business center, Resturant , 1140+ TA reviews, possibly Hudson Hotel

3* in MTC for $142, Fitness center, High speed internet, Business center, not sure

4* in MTE for $136, 520+ TA reviews, probably the Intercontinental

3.5* in MTE for $143, Fitness center, High speed internet, Business center, Resturant , 880+ TA reviews, 3.5/5 score, not sure

3* in MTE for $185, Suite, Kitchenette, Fitness, Resturant, High Speed Internet, possibly Beekman Tower

4* in Time square for 152 , with Fitness center and High speed internet, not sure

3* in Time square for $132, Boutique, breakfast, spa, pool, probably Roommate grace

I also did search with 1 room 3 guests, and saw the following:

3.5* in Time Square for $246 , 360+ TA reviews, 3/5 score, Fitness center, High speed internet, Business center, Resturant , not sure

3* in MTE for $209 , Suite, Kitchenette, Fitness, Resturant, High Speed Internet, possibly Beekman Tower

I would prefer to get Intercontinental for $136, but I'm not sure if I would be able to get a double bed room or enough space for an additional roll away bed.

And I won't mind to pay more for a guaranteed room with enough space.

Anyone has any suggestions for my situation?

Quikbook.com has the Empire Hotel for $182 for a Junior King Suite, which would provide a larger space/fold-out sofa. The Quikbook deal is stay 1 night at $364, get 1 night free (a pretty RARE deal in NYC, if you ask me!). The Junior King Suites are $429 per night on the hotel website. This is a little bit out of the way, but it's a great deal.

If this is of interest, it would be greatly appreciated if you could use the site's link to Quikbook.com to start your purchase.

If this is not of interest, I'd be happy to keep looking.

I searched for both 2 and 3 adults. 3 adults only gave me 2 options, the Beekman tower and one other.

Thanks for the Quikbook link, this is the first time I heard about the site, I'll check it out. Maybe I could book it first, then cancel if there is a better deal turns up! Do you know how reliable is Quikbook?

I haven't heard of any problems occuring with Quikbook.com - it is mentioned quite a bit on this site. I did not look into detail at the cancel policy, but it appears to be a refundable reservation (I would definitely double check) - non-refundables on Quikbook.com usually say "non-refundable".

The issue with Hotwire is that if there are 3 people in your party and you only put down two, you will only get bedding for two - this is especially true in NYC, where rooms can be tiny (see, for example, the Hudson, where the average room is about 160-180 sq ft). Some hotels in NYC are max 2 per room.

I see! Yeah, Quikbook looks to be promising, especially for the Junior bedroom it says I can pay later. I'll book through the link now.

I just found a double beds room from New York Helmsley for $156 a night. It locates closer to the Time Square, and two beds would work great for me. But I will keep checking HOTWIRE until travel day, maybe a better deal might pop up.
